Hey esbe i have also been looking for some faster finishing plants for outdoors. According to north's links i am zone 9a 9b. So i can expect plants to finish around the same mid september time? I am planning on purchasing my next outdoor seed crop soon and have heard so much about this erdbeer strain. Keep it green and thanks for all the strain info.

Chubby,
If your in zone 9 you can run almost any strain, the zone give an approximate average temp and a maximum LOW temp. its really developed to help gardeners of perenial flowers, trees and shrubs.

How this pertains to us? well it also roughly matches frost dates, in the case of us Northern farmers.

If your zone 9, your NOT worried about frost, and an earliy strain might not be what you want, as many would act like autoflowers in souther areas.

your trying to beat the rainy season and mold?

Hey north. I am really just looking for a nice strain that will finish before the rest. I would start them inside and put em out when summer starts. Would that trigger flowering in this strain? Not really trying to beat the mold or rain just want some fast finishers is all so i can maybe have two nice outdoor harvests. Thanks for the info on the zones. Learn something new everyday.

Chubbynugs,
(CRAP-lost my response,retyping it)

Ok, now I see what your up too.

thats sort of a tricky problem to me, i've never even considered that idea ,as I couldnt pull it off in my area, other that using AFs which dont really interest me, due to low yeilds and the number of plants that would be needed, its a much bigger legal risk.

what you need to do is look at the links below and cross reference strains and peoples grow Latitude to YOUR latitude, and the daylengths of each area.
In other words, your probally pretty far south, your daylengths vary little, us northern folk have long days in the summer, and dont approach flowering times till late in the season when our days get shorter(closer to yours).

so you need to look at a strain like this,
pick strain A out of the links I post, strain A finishes at Oct15 @ 50N, strain A is a 45 day finisher. OK, now count back 45 days from Oct15 puts you at Sept1, look up daylength @50N on sept1. OK,now lets just say,cuz I didnt really look, that its 15 hours of daylight, now you look up your Lat. and see when you hit that daylength,IF you even do. your date that matches hours tells you ABOUT when you'll see budding start, count forward the 45 days, your finish time!

HOWEVER, if you never reach our guessed 15 hours, and your day is always shorter, you MIGHT start to flower soon as you put plants outside.
I know I've seen a threan here, where tropical growers say pure indicas, only grow into "lollipops" because they start to flower soon as the break ground and only have 2 months of growth, and all of that is budding time, no stretch.

Silverback has a thread about inducing early flowering in containers, there might be an idea for you also, i havent really looked at that to hard ,as containers dont work for my style.

Beautifull Knospe, when they are that nice you can make them even bigger if you like.
Paradise seeds Rox (erdbeer)

I think they lose some vigour towards the end, but nice tight buds & mould resistant too.

incredible job knopse, those are some really gorgeous plants.

hey fingaz, is rox just erdbeer or is it an erdbeer hybrid? i'd love to know.

Paradise seeds describe Rox as sister plant to Erdbeeri winner of swiss canna cup, I believe it has some Kush in there, but I am no expert, I am sure there are others more qualified than me who could comment.
