Not gonna trim any lowers this time, last time was a MUST because the lowers were getting no light what so ever...This time however, the lowers are actually getting light and my buddies lowers were bomb so he told me to leave it all. Funny, my buddy was the student now has become the teacher! Those are his nugs I posted a picture of, super dank!

Alright it's now 2 weeks and some days, these pics were taken last night I think, making it 2 weeks and 4 days of flower in these shots. Desaturated a couple images, messed with the hue and sat of some others, brightness and contrast. I really like to edit now a days ;) Not to change colors, just to bring more of the real color back from the HPS

Its bushy!!! Lots of tops! More than last round I'm sure....Heres a comparison of one hue/saturation edit to get rid of some of that yellow from the HPS, the last is desaturated...or, black and white for you common folk! jk ;)

whatup cali bro. things looking SWELL in here, no pun intended :D

to remove hps in photoshop

first (ctrl + shift + L) to autobalance levels. you can also adjust those manually (ctrl + L)

then (image > adjustments > color balance). mess around with these but usually I move the slider towards cyan, the 2nd slider towards green, and the third slider towards blue

before adjustments

after

ps.. try and force ur camera to use its flash, that usually can get most of the hps out of the pics

hope u dont mind the jacking

Ahh much better Greenatik!!! I was messing with the hue a lot, but color balance is what I really needed! I don't have photoshop, I've got an old version of paintshop pro but it's pretty damn close! Thanks bro

There's another way to remove hps yellow - i do it the lazy way - open image, open levels, click the white eyedropper and select a spot in the img that is white, then click the black dropper and click a spot which is black and the same with the grey dropper. if you want it to be really accurate, print a card that has a black, 50% grey and white areas and stick it in the corner of the shot when u take the pic.

I usually just try to get a dark shadow somewhere in the shot and a white area, sometimes u have to try a few spots to find the best one, but i can do most pics in 3 clicks...

Heres what i did with that method, didnt spend much time on it and a target card can get it perfect, but... (oh i also pushed the hue a bit to give it an extra vibrant look and didnt really clean up the artifacts i created but i digress...

Dude, with these methods you could totally fool people if your plants look like shit....Lets say you've got super yellow plants, I'll admit the one you messed with above ^^^ is slightly more yellow in real life.....So now you've made it look like a proper healthy plant haha! Gotta love these editing tricks!

i just cover my plants with a lid from the light while i shoot or a piece of cardboard. that way u are shooting at nugs in the shade. use ur flash and micro settings. take pics at a nice distance and zoom in to the detail in the photoshop and crop

EDIT-Siiick, I just dug up an old thread from three years ago, I can't believe it's already been three years!

Check it out, its a photoshop thread I tried to start, lets bump it up!
