How to Garden By The Moon

Don't wash it a lot, wipe out the grease and keep going to get a good seasoned pan that doesn't stick.

I have been slapped upside the head by my grandma for washing her skillet. Use a paper towel and Kosher Salt after it has cooled. The salt will help remove anything that is stuck and soak up the leftover grease making it easy to wipe out. I have 2 skillets and a dutch oven that where my great grandma's and I don't think that they have been washed since they where bought. :D

Sorry to get off topic...

Back to the moon.

I just can't bear to let this thread, go, so I put up pics of my multi strain grows and we chat about ANYthing... lol.

Thanks for the welcome.

I think that its going to take me awhile to get to 50 posts. I was never much of a poster.

I found that the Moon Phases have helped me with the regular garden and when I saw this thread it just kinda clicked.

Its a great read. Seems like southern folks in here and its nice to see people in similar grow regions (same regions = same growing problems, outdoors at least).

Anybody with a rebel flag superimposed on a pot leaf is OK in my book.

Week 3 Sea of Green

Week 3 Sea of Green

Just got done watering again. There is always a few plants everyday that take a turn at the watering can. I only carried one watering can a while ago and was shocked at the difference that it made. Carrying 32 lbs of water upstairs gets old. But so does not having weed to smoke.

I am almost OUT OF WEED! HELP! LOL!

Got my eye on these bad girls, this is the middle of the room, about 1/3 of them!

Gonna drop some beans some time early March around the new moon and see how it works out. Last time I dropped beans was July '09 on the 9th during a Full Moon phase, which is not ideal for starting seeds. 17 were directly sown, 17 popped. To think I added two more in case I didn't get them all to germinate. :joint:

Without really thinking about it, today I popped six into a cup of water for a 24 hr soak... and it's full moon phase again. So I'll take note of these but I held off on dropping as many as I was going to so I can wait till the new in the beginning of March. It'll act as my control, in reverse.

Lola,

I have talked about the moon on a few threads now. My interest came when a tequila plantation owner was talking to me about harvest. They always harvest on the full moon, he says his Agave plants have their highest concentration of sugars then.

I didn't manage to read all 50+ pages, but I was hoping you could point me to a post number or discuss with me the best time to harvest MJ via the moon.

I am running a perpetual system where I harvest 1 to 2 plants a week. Today is a full moon I think and I plan to harvest a BlackBerryBubba in about 25 hours.

Since I pick two plants a week I will be able to make note of the differences between the eight harvests in a month.

Perhaps we could design a smoke test survey based on moon harvests?

Peace, :joint:

Only the first 2 pages have practical info. The rest is just me and friends bullshitting. Don't bother reading it all.

Harvest when the signs are right. You can also see the moon's charts and learn when to harvest at the Moon Garden Social Group. :D have fun.

TT: I am out of Sourbubble, my writing story muse. just can't seem to get in the mood without my sourbubble. sorry.

I had big fun today.

I went down to the creek to scope out the best looking grow spots to get one prepared in case I want to plant.

It was a fun day on the creek. I saw some cool stuff, looked for some gold, hiked to an old spring.

I found some old trees that were blown off the side of the creek and were laying down on their sides. This was right between the spring and the creek in a little valley.

Spring is just around the corner, so I wanted to drag some limbs and build a secret outdoor grow fort.

I drug big branches up beside the downed tree tops, where the plants will get full sun I hope.

Then I dug a big hole and disguised it, so all I have to do is come back with the plant and additives and I will be ready to grow.

I will go back tomorrow and work on it some more. If lucky there are enough big branches to make it look like more tree tops down. I am hoping it will be left alone.

The soil is moist and sandy and black. I grew here once before, and it was a big giant 25 footer.

I would love to figure out a way to pump the spring water to the patch, so I have a little solar power pump drip line deal. I think that would make sure that I don't have to water it. Since soil is so sandy and moist, may not need much water if it rains.

I took a fanny pack with a glass pipe, a bud of White Rhino, and a Pepsi. I had lots of fun. I found a tree that had sapsucker holes drilled all over it in rows, which was fun.

I worked till I got a good patch scoped out, and now all I have to do is add more branches, and weed plants.

Best of all no bugs today biting me. Getting ready for summer now is best thing I learned.

I will set it and forget it... :)
