Aeroponic grow

I'd thought I would share and try to learn something while I am here.

So here is my current grow.

4x4x8 Hrdrohut
24 site Aeroponic
1000k MH/HPS lights
12gal reservoir
600 CFM fan intake/exhaust from outside
Dehumidifer
Advanced Nutrients A&B base, carboload, big bud, overdrive, Final phase, Sensi Cal Mg, PH down, Clearex, Aquaguard (not AN), phosphoload, something something dark side.

Veging was 24/7

Once a week flush, a few hours with water and Clearex

PH 5.5 - 5.8

Reservoir Temp low 70's spikes to mid 70's if I don't use frozen 2ltr bottles.

RH is 50% or under

Day temp 75 - 85
Night temp 65 - 72

Used heavy feeding on the Advanced Nutrients Calculator

PPM is right on using their numbers.

I thought these were to be 12 Mendocino Purples, but as they started to bud, it was obvious there were 2 different strains, now that they are in full budding it's obvious there are three different stains....one are probably Jupiter the other.... hummm I need to talk to my buddy!

Gotta love advanced nutrients i think they were better with DR hornby but they still make excellent products have your tried there Kushie Kush it works wonders

No I have not, I only heard about it the other day. This is my third grow with AN, and while nothing has been perfect I can not track any problems with AN, except for the price.

I am about out of A&B, so I need to restock on that or, I have been thinking about going with their three part, Micro....idk...

Hey nice setup man. Aeroponics is the only way i grow. I got 4 aerojet 8 trays under 8kw. check out my albums. If you got any questions let me know ive got a few runs under my belt with these. you got an led in there to? at the grow shop they got some powder micoraze or howeva you spell it, makes the roots go NUTS def go pick some up and add to rez when u first transplant.

I have not tried any powders. I'm little worried about particles. It dose not take much to clog them jets, and as it is there is lots of checking. And when they break off it's just FUN to fix!!!!!! Sigh.... I had three break on me today.

I don't know if I want my roots to go nuts, they are pretty fucking crazy as it is, but I am all ears.

yea i had to take the filter out, havnt needed to replace any misters yet. ive been running GH 3 part works wonders, and its dirt cheap.

i noticed you went with the 4in netpots, i was thinking about trying that out next time on 1 table. my 8 trays hold 32 5in netpots. your getting an extra 16 plants with 4in.

Changing jets are not a big deal, if they break it's just a little work. I would actually suggest to break one so you know how to fix it. You don't want to be in the middle of a grow trying to figure it out.

What I did was to find a screw that was the right size, not to big, and screw it into the broken jet. When you screw it in the broken piece will get pushed through. Now if you get lucky as you screw it in, you might be able to back it out and remove it.

You can remove the broken piece when you're done with your grow since it will be in the tubing.

Yeah, you don't need big pots, they just hold the plant upright, so yeah the smaller the more you can have.

Nah ive been running aero for 3years or so now. only way to go imo. way to cold in that attic though. purchasing 3 more 5x10's this week so i can setup a table in each tent. way more efficient and easier to maintain then the attic... how bout yourself how many runs you got with the aero? oh yea and a tip for you. go by some hortitrellis and attach it to each of the poles in your tent this creates a tight canopoy so you can train for sog. with the growth rates being out of control the trellis is a must for training, and it fits sooo perfect in the tent. look at my layer of trellis in the 5x10.

This is my 3rd run, tho this is the only set up I have grown with.

How do you, or do you, keep you res temps down?

Have you, or do you, use big bud? And if so have you had problems with BB creating slime?

I stick with cheap nutes with low salinity. the GH 3 part WORKS WONDERS!!! and its cheap as it gets. never do i change my reservoirs through out whole cycle. i did have problems with temps in the rez thats why im going to buy 3 more 5x10s and seperate the grow. 2kw in each 5x10 much more effiecient. Never used the BB but that why i stick with cheap clear nutes that arnt thick. the GH3 part is so great i cant stresss enough. you outta try it once. i used to use advanced nutes conneseur in my tables but i switched to the GH after doing side by side comparisons with GH, Botanicare pure blend, BC, Advanced. pure blend and GH did the best. the other 2 i had to change rez and i got clogged misters with the BC.. they were easy to unclog. never had them break in the pvc must b a pain in the ass.

Ahh, ok. Well bigbud is not a huge issue, but it's annoying to have to deal with. However if there is a replacement I am all ears.

Besides changing lighting have you looked in other options? My res, which is about 15gal can be kept in the low 70's with the aid of frozen 2lt bottles every few hours.

The systems I have seen that are reasonable for my, small set up, are way to expensive for the very few degrees it will drop. Aquariums chillers and such, and even those air cooled units.

I want to drop my res so at a high it will be 70, but keep it within the 65-70 range. That is not as easy as you might think.

Homemade ice boxs and such I am thinking about........
