I have grown... Doggies Nuts
geesus that is a first, finding someone who has tried these! Personally I think it is crazy to spend that much on seeds, and they aren't even the most expensive out there! Cropi-canna is more I think, and then there is some real ripoff of a canadian bank. And they are probably no better than the still expensive but known quality genetics of shantibaba's super silver haze for example. So I am curious how your doggie nuts seeds did and if they are worth it in your opinion. I would never spend that much on seeds if I had it to spend, which I don't. well possibly I would if it were way better than anything else out there, but I doubt that.

Also when I purchased my Bog gear I did so not because of the following of Bog. I did so because I was able to vape some of his Lifesaver and WOW it sure did impress me. So when Gypsy had them stocked I jumped on some of his gear. Because I knew what I was spending my $$ on.Kind of like test driving a car,it's nice knowing what you are going to get.

im not tryin to be mean but putting doggie's nuts in the "expensive category" just messes everything up... you can never compare a doggies nuts untested f2 to gear from BOG, Tom Hill, Chimera, DJ, Mr Nice or Rez.... all of those latter breeders (or seedmakers whatever ya wanna call em ) although they use very different techniques and approaches all make quality beans... doggies nuts well yea they just sell horrible crosses with unknown lineages (usually overplayed sk#1) and then charge more than rezdog does haha....but yea ive had luck with cheap ass beans and real real expensive ones...l ya gotta know who made the seeds and what their in it for... i get amazing genetics for hella cheap off of seedbays server fund... got (satori x Blue sat.) x F-13, and geisha f2s for 20 bucks each... cant rightly beat that and the smoke is good as hell to boot ha

You are not being mean at all. I guess Doggies should go into the ridiculous catagory. My bud meant well when buying them for me. I got some friends that I give cuts to. I'm going to do a little study and not tell them what the cuts are. Then I will have an idea when they grow em and give me their opinion. I can't wait to give away some Bogglegum cuts,I KNOW for sure I will get props for them there cuts. Thanks for adding to my thread.:smokey:

I read here on a Bog thread that Gypsy used to have like a two pack for one special and things like that . I guess that was 5 years ago.Man inflation SUCKS!!:smokey:

yup the big 3 at the time(doc chronic, heavens stairway and seeds direct) all had killer deals like free pack of nirvana beans of your choosing normally price at $15. HS/spice bros had a nice deal like 4 packs for a hundred and it was all f2 knock offs bros grimm which are going for 5 time the price now...

Damn to bad it's not like that now. Although Gypsy does provide a freebie with every order. I think that is cool.

I've had good and bad luck with "cheap" beans and expensive beans

Cheap beans

Seedsman Hash Plant and Afghani #1 were excellent
Seedsman Ata-Tundra was leafy and no where near as good as the HP and Affy.

Nirvana Big Bud x NL was crap
Nirvana Papaya was tasty and potent
Nirvana Master Kush was another good one
Nirvana Jock Horror surprised me with it's yield, resin production and racy paranoid inducing high (at least the pheno I had did)
Nirvana K2 wasn't anything to write home about
Nirvana AK48 was beautiful, but lacked potency and tasted like crap IMO

Spice Brothers C99 F2 kicked butt, but really shown as a parent in crosses

Peak Seeds Blueberry and Northern Berry were both excellent. The BB had a blueberry muffin smell and taste.

Expensive Beans

DJ Short Blueberry was great, tasted like Blueberries and totally worth the money
DJ Short Blue Moonshine was one of the frostiest and tasted like good hash. Again, worth it.
Sensi G13/HP. Good, but not worth the $

When I want a specific flavor or high I buy it. There is no price for satisfaction. So I'm willing to pay that extra dollar for what I want. No need to find a similar substitute.

Grow Clean.... Go Fast!
make sure you have plenty of time.ive grown these(and still am) they can take up to 20 weeks and that is from seed straight to 12/12 and they still end up about 6' tall. It is all worth it though as the smoke is mind blowing= the strogest weed i have smoked in 20 years since opiated thai sticks, the stuff puts you in a dreamlike state, just amazing weed

Yeah, I vegged these for awhile and they took off. I have them in flower right now, for only a week and they are almost 4' tall! We were already talking about what we are going to do to deal with them!

i will second those who stated kc brains stock was used by other breeders. mr. ganga mentioned dutch passion using kc 33 but so did many other dutch breeders in particular. you doubters need to keep in mind that kc brains has been around a long time, in fact, very few have been around longer.

kc 33 was used a lot but another one liked in the netherlands happened to be mindbender. go look at the no mercy stuff. cees, founder of no mercy is another grey beard who has been around forever. i need to ask; which dutch breeder has been at it longer than cees? be careful, cees has some real history behind him and he is older than he likes to admit!

as for shanti, i am not aware of his use of kc brains genes in any of his current offerings but someone could well make me eat those words? however, shanti has certainly been around long enough to have at least experimented with kc gear.

Nice response on this thread. I do not mind spendin $$$ on beans. I have noticed however that I seem to have good luck with 30 beans on the lower priced scale vs. 10 beans that cost more than the 30. Don't get me wrong...I do buy more expensive strains and get great results for the most part.

I just started 5 Arjan's Haze x Cinnamon (ICMag server fund) and 5 Sam the Skunkman's Original Haze x Skunk 1 (freebies). I got 10 of each for $20, a buck a seed is not bad and all the Cinnamon look great, 1 of the Sam's didn't pop, one popped but died and one looks deformed. The other two look great and for free I am in no way complaining, the Sam's seeds were all tiny as you would expect the freebies to be. I should have pics in my diary this weekend after I transplant them.
