this is Reservior Seeds' chemdawg d bx2. and i was chopping down some sssdh when i decided to burn one down. i ususally like to do strain anaylsis based on a combination of pipe smoking and spliff puffin but oh well. this is the second harvest so it will be staying in my garden and i've smoked enough of this stuff to know by now. This batch was pulled at 88 days, a little longer than i like, didn't show signs of stress like others so maybe she enjoyed the extra time.
i tried to stick to the form but it hinders my creative, errrr, sloppy story telling. besides i somehow get a better feel for the plant when i'm not worried about filling in the blanks. let it ride.......
this is my only experience with chemdawg D. i have done CD4. comparable but the 4 has more of a "pleasant" appeal to it. The CDD bx2 comes out of the gate with vigorous growth. If your feeding often in veg it will get out of control if your not paying attention. But strong branches and foundation, unlike the OG's or say Trainwreck i know thats extreme but... Trichs covered every part of this plant! the buds were lighter green, probably from the resin, and very very dense from early on.
the smell was atrocious...i mean it blew the gasket off my carbon filter! interesting though that this plant did not have to be touched for it to let off its stink. like a dog proud of its champion shit it just took, this plant didn't back down from its smell. Wow, to describe the smell is difficult. It is what people say it is....onion/b.o./rotten meat....i get a used band-aid/dirty dog/skunk funk burn my nostrils ahhhh i like that kind of smell. there are hints of the chemical fuel astringent cleaner smell to it also. the smell became weaker as it passed 70 days.
flavors were hit and miss. i wanted soooooo bad for the flavor to BLOW me away but it didn't. i think it has to do with the flowering time though. the initial inhale was not soft, filled my lungs and my brain immediately with pressure as i hacked all over my sssdh trimmings. expansive to say the least. i had to wait a few minutes to take another, smaller, hit to analyize the exhale cuz i was coughing so much. by the time i was ready to take my second hit i was done. the flavors ranged from cleaner chemical to dirty dog with i guess old skunky meat tones :shrugs:
overall VERY impressed with this herb. i was high too long for me to remember. and more importantly no nanners
