First Scrog attempt... :woohoo:

Well Im back again. This time with apollo11 1 week old seedlings. same 250 watt settup with some slight modifications. Ill get pics up tommorrow.

Definitely watching this one! I am about to pull the trigger on one of JW's strains I think...

After reading through your grow, I am really inspired as we have similar setups. I have a 2x2 tent, 5"3 in heigth, 250w mh/hps. I am thinking more of piggybacking mothers from clones of my favorite phenos, but not sure what training route to go(sog, lst, scrog). Looking to keep myself supplied ~2oz/month, constantly. Thoughts?

Any pics of the Apollo's yet?

RiddleMe This - What JW plant you growing? I think in these tiny spaces training is essential. What type you decided to do is up to your needs. If I had room for a mom/vege cab id go the SOG since ive never tried that before and I hate the Vege period, sooo boring.:comfort: This time I LST'd them since i didn't know the sex before flowering so i couldnt put a scrog net up. Seems to be working well. What you think?

Heres the flowering update to this point.

I veged 10 jw apollo11 seeds. 10 sprouted. 1 couldnt get its shell off and i chopped. 2 were dwarfs so i chopped. In week 2, i overwater and then proceeded to underwater so they stalled for a week. :tiphat:

Week 3 i transplanted from 16oz cups into 2 gallon pots. 5 pots total and 2 of those pots held 2 plants each.

The mix i used is based off lcs organic mix

35L Coco
10L Wormcastings
20L Perlite
about 1tbs/gallon dolomite lime

Thank You BurnOne:thank you:

When I transplanted I added 1tbs/gallon FoxFarm Marine Cusine Powder 10-7-7. Its organic based. I thought meant pure organic. I was fooled. Ever since they were transplanted they have recovered fully and looked great. I have also been using general organics liquid seaweed at thier recomended low dose almost every watering. R/0 water from the grocery store. in 2 gallon containers they drink every 2 days drying out to a 1-3 on the moisture meter, bigger ones are drinking 1 L in week 2 of flower, smaller ones 500ml. at first transplant it was half that.

After 35 days in veg, i changed the light cycle to 12/12. Within 3 days all plants had shown sex and i had 5 females.:jump: Both males were in the shared pots so they were removed and thier holes filled with soil. These females are easily identified because they are about half the size of the plants that didnt share space with a male for 2 weeks. In both cases the male was the bigger plant in the shared container.

I had been lightly lsting the plant up to this point, some better than others. They grew alot the past 2 weeks and just yesterday i had to train the 2 stretchyest plants alot. Starting too see the bud develop, smell is increasing and hopefully the stretch is nearing its end. Plants are doing great and seem to be very noob resistant.:bump:

Heres some pics hopefully of day 1, day 7, and day 14 of flowering.

EDIT: Pics are over 150kb limit, ill have them up shortly

I had trouble with the file size again with these pics but managed to get them into the 150kb limit, but now they are all looking kinda funky, some i even had to make B&W. Anyways i figuered it all out so all future pics will be much better:blowbubbles:

Heres cab shots from day 21 and day 28 respectively.

I don't know...but I use Photobucket...it's free and all you do is copy a link and the picture is there full size, like in my threads.

thanks but i got it all figuered out, I forgot how small a size limit this site has for pictures. I like to just register with this site and keep it simple you know? Ill have some more pics on this thread tommorrow. Cheers

From what I can tell I have 2 different pheno's. Here are pics taken at day 21 of the five girls. All plants were named at time of planting, helps me remember.

Mary Jane

My favorite from the start, first to pop, fastest veger, and biggest plant. Im keeping an eye on her.

Nyssa

Stretchyest girl. Needed alot of training to keep her level with the other girls. Buds smaller and less resiny than the other pheno, but more budsites.

Lucky

Second favorite girl, same structure as MaryJane. Named Lucky cause i steped on her when she was a baby and she survived.

The twins

These girls shared pots with males for a few weeks so they are smaller. Each one seems to be different phenos. I will be running experiments with mollasses on them during the final 2 weeks.

Check out either of my journals...using Photobucket, size is no issue...and it's easy to use. Sorry, I just thought I would try to help...:tiphat:

lol ok dave, i may have to try this photobucket next time i upload pics. Here are the pics i took some days ago at day 28 of maryjane.

Ive come across the same problem i ran into early in my grow which is the plants have outgrown thier pots (dam coco). They are losing fan leaves daily but i dont want to repot this late into flowering. I think they shall survive untill harvest in 3 weeks.

Day 35 Flowering. Apollo 11 is getting frosty at this point. I cut some lower bud sites because they were not developing and I ended up with some smoke. She got me high, high! Didn’t last very long so hopefully this will improve in the coming weeks. :tiphat:

Day 48 Flowering. Ill be giving a good watering tomorrow, drown them well, and drop night temps to low 60s. Then in three days, when they are freezing and begging for a drink, the lights will go off for good! maharaja!!! Harvest will proceed the very next day. You excited?!??!? This is Mary Jane Day 48. She is the best of this pheno, she has the biggest buds of all plants and she is turning a nice purple hue. The buds that are closer to the light have changed color the most. Smelling nice and tropical…

Next up is Nyssa - she was a second phenotype - buds are smaller than MaryJane but she branched like crazy, needed to be tied down and now provides many bud sites. She scrogged on her own giving ten buds, each around 2-3 grams by the looks of it. Only 1 out of five of the plants developed into this pheno, maybe she’s a Genius?!?!! Anyone grow Genius before, help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Apollo 11 has been a great grow. I am eagerly awaiting a good cure before I make a smoke report. The other three plants were just as good just did not have the size these two had. More pictures comming soon.*

Apollo 11 has now been chopped and hung at day 49. I am moving out and someone else is moving in about 10 days. I have to have them dryed and the whole cab taken down by that time, so I decided to chop them at Joeys reccommended time. Looks like a nice yeild, lots of buds hanging, Guesstamate between 4 and 5 oz plus a nice frezzer bag full of frosty trim! I think I have a good handle on this 250 watt now, ill be moving up to a 400watt hopefully. I am thinking Kali Mist hmmmm Peace:wave:

Ps. I had a problem trimming them, my fingers got so frosty that everything stuck to them. I tried washing it off with soap but that did not do much. Any advice for next time??? Thanks

Iso alcohol (rubbing alcohol) will clean your hand and scissors but try to keep as much of it as you can as that is hashish .

I love scissor hash. I will remove it with a razor blade from my trimming scissors.
