One of the Sourgum gals is throwing out a nice triple headed top. Can't wait to see how this one develops... they should be right around three weeks of flower at this point.

zeppelindood - Heya Zep, been a while my friend. Hope you are doing well these days!

immortal - Good to see you buddy. It will take me a little while to get back to form, it's hard to shoot these baby buds!

Ms.Grat3ful - Howdy Mrs. Head!!! So nice to have you drop by, blast from the past is right. I still remember sitting in Gypsy'd DAM store with you and your hubby sharing a doobie. And your right, life can get complicated, but we always have to take some time and smell the buds! :)

CalcioErba2004 - Hi Cal, long time indeed. Wow, can't believe you still remember the FPN. Hard to believe it was six years ago!!!

Doobieduck - Doobie, thanks it is nice to see my old friends again. I'll try and take some shots more often!

Here's a blast from the past... this is a Sour Gum bud I did a few years ago so you can see what these new gals will look like!

It's certainly nice to be back at ICMAG posting again, and I would like to take a moment to thank all of you for the great "welcome back". I really missed you all, and I know theres so much to catch up on. This is my first grow since... my god has it really been two years? I had to go back a few pages to find out (it's hell to get old as I can't remember shit anymore)!

The last time I was on in early 2008 I was going to do a run of some BOG stuff I had. These weren't originals, just some crosses I and my old friend weeweeman had done. I should mention that many of the seeds I tried did not germ, only weeweeman's Sour Gum cross popped up. No I don't refrigerate my seeds, but they are kept in a cool and dry place. Considering I made my crosses over 4 years ago they were a little "aged", but I'll be trying some more soon.

I had done a run of the Sour Gum (Sour Bubble x Bubble Gum) back in 2005, and these were the same seeds from that original run. (Yes, the seeds were that old) That speaks highly of weeweeman's plants, probably more so than my storage technique (plastic baggies in a shoebox in a cabinet). I'm looking forward to seeing these gals finish as it was some very good smoke!

I vegged the girls for about 45 days, using a T5 for the first month then moving them under the 1000k. This is a no-frills, nothing fancy grow, I used Miracle Grow potting soil and gave them nothing extra during veg. All they received is water, and of course a little lovin'. They have an oscillating fan on them 24/7, and are currently under dual 1000k fixed HPS (air cooled).

A few days ago I gave them a little dose of some "bloom juice". Can't tell you what it is, as the label was missing. All I remember was it was for flowering plants! :dunno: I have 5 gals, all growing natural with no training or topping. One of the gals developed two main stems on her own which had me scratching my head for awhile, but hey... stranger things have happened! They are all fairly similar, except for the two headed gal which I call my little mutey... this is the one that is throwing out that triple headed top from my previous post. My biggest gal is 6' in the pot with the smallest about 4' in the pot. I started flower on Christmas Day (at least I think so) so today would be about day 27.

The picture above is from the least bushy of them all, and definitely has a strong resemblance to the original Sour Bubble 1BX parent. But she is one of the most fragrant of the 5 gals, at least at this point. Photo is from Day 26 of flower.

Oh... almost forgot. Special thanks to Rosy CHeeks for nominating one of my baby bud shots for POTM. I'm honored!

Sour Gum Day 34

Sour Gum Day 34

Here's another shot from last night of the "3 Headed Monster" bud from a few posts back. As you can see, she's slowly turning into a nice big fat cola. At 34 days, they are about half way to the finish line... just a little over 30 days to go based on previous experience. Several of the girls are still putting out new growth, so it may take a little longer for a few!

fireflya - Chimp? That's my picture!!! :)

Sour Gum Grow Day 37

Had a chance tonight to run in and grab a couple of pictures while they were sleeping. Its now Day 37 of Flower Mode for the Sour Gum gals, and the colas are now starting to fill in nicely. The picture above is of my two headed little mutey gal, with the cola on the right featured in my previous post.

The Sour Gum (Sour Bubble 1bx x Bubble Gum) is putting out some very thick buds, and I have already had to stake two of the girls as the tops are getting pretty heavy. The aroma is not too heavy in the flower room, and at this point I would consider them all to be low odor. However, get your nose up close and they smell just as sweet as can be, so we'll see how that changes in a few weeks as the buds mature.

Not much in the way of color yet, but as the bud above shows, its not too far away!

GMT - You didn't think you could get rid of ol' Abby that easy did you? Good to see ya buddy!

Hazy - Been a while my friend, thanks for stopping by to say hello. I'm a bit rusty in my bud pic skills, but I'm working on it!

vince514 - They seem to be doing okay, but I'm ready for some increased resin production and some color :)

Ronley - Howdy Ronley, so nice of you to stop by and say hello. I hope things have been going well for you!

very nice budshots Abby, I love art and they sure are a work of art if I must say. I see one of your photos was nominated for photo of the month. I called my wife over, and said "baby here is a contest, which photo do you like best?" and we scrolled down once and back up. Long story short she picked your sour gum, so we voted for your budshot! I was like if this ain't some shit! lol.. its like you girls have the same taste. Only to realize the pic was of a plant grown by a female as well - you Abby of course. Females connect in so many ways it still leaves me occasionally puzzled, but it could of course just be pure coincidence. lol.. Take care of the beautiful girls and yourself. Your photographic skills are top notch, keep it up.

cheers,
BT
