My attic buildout

My neighbor has a f'ed up septic tank pump that makes more noise than anything I have going right now. I hear it in my bedroom at night. I don't hear my room at all. It's bitter sweet.

Damn, you got your show quiet and the neighbor bleeds in. Isn't pumping yer sludge illegal? Maybe he needs to call the professionals.

Great journal man. You should check out my 10,000 W basement buildout/grow journal, we just framed everything in. Seems like we have similar ideas...We're both using split AC/Heat unit, and Lucas Formula, I'd love to connect with you some time and compare notes...

Sounds sweet. I'll have to check that out.

looking good Gramps

Thanks!

This place is Super Clean! Wish my attic was higher than 36"...

Thanks! The high pitch of the attic is what makes this all possible. It's cool because my neighbor across the street has the same pitch roof. They have a little sitting room up there. It's the same exact shape just different outside.

There is no city sewer out here. I have to crap in the outhouse in the back yard.

Not really. They come out and bury 3 huge septic tanks in your back yard. The water you use is cleaned and then sprayed, through a sprinkler system, back onto your yard. They come clean it out once a year or 18 months or something. Every house is like this and this dudes pump is about to shit the bed.

This was creating a problem for me because I have to run so much water with the RO machine. My yard was a swamp and it looked a little funny.

We got our hands on a ditch digger and dug a 2" D x 1 1/2" W x 70" long. We then tied into the beginning of the sprinkler system and set it to drain into the ditch, which luckliy slopes into a nearby drainage creek. I'll just have to turn a valve when I want to run the sprinklers. No more flooded yard to raise any eyebrows.

I'm going to dump a bunch of rocks throughout the ditch to help drainage. Then some sand and cover.

Here are a couple of shots of the 6in inline fans with the R6 insulation I got from home depot.

This really knock out a ton noise.

good job on the quick fix gramps!

def. dont need anybody wondering why your yard is constantly flooded....the right person would probably put it together

but then again...i know folks who keep RO filters for their whole house...so maybe its our stoner paranoia kicking in again?

either way..good call!!!

You pay a flat rate for 5000 gallons a month. Surcharge for the extra. I'm under the 5000gallons. I actually don't use that much. It's really because I don't have any grass in my yard yet and it's all dirt.

Makes for a big mess lol. Once my grass is up it will drain properly. They valve will give me control so that I'm not watering the grass when it's pouring rain outside because I'm taking a shower.

I'm popping new seeds tonight.

Here's my incubation chamber/area ;)

It's pretty hard not get 100% with this.

I'm running Hawaiian Snow from GHS (don't hate please, I already know). They are fem, sativa, and something I don't mind practicing on. From what I hear it's good smoke so I'll see what I can do with her. That's for another thread, though.

This is just to show how I pop my seeds.

I scuff them up real good in the Ped Egg and then soak them for a few hours before putting them in the moist paper towel and bunch it up a little bit.

Temp Probe In

A towel to keep the heat from escaping.

I'm going to chop my first plant tomorrow! It's the ozone damaged one. I put a little piece under the microscope today and they are at ~80% cloudy. I'm going to let the other 2 run for a couple more days. I'd like to see some amber in them.

After I've found the best Hawaiian mom to keep, I'm really thinking about throwing in some goodies that I just got the other day.

Muchas Gracias Gypsy and Seedbay. That's was a feeding frenzy. I was lucky to pick these up.

hahaha i see you snagged you some CDSD

i got some too and a few others.

everything looking good gramps...

That CDSD is on one of the best books out too! I have been poking around my attic after being inspired by your awesomeness. When I do it, it will be down the road because I want to get some pros in there and spray up some radiant barrier, then I will add more insulation, add floors and walls, and be on the way...I hope.

I have this awesome HUGE skylight in the house that takes up A LOT of attic space, so I need to work around that monster, and will probably end up using the space over the garage. I wanted a fireman's pole anyway.

Thanks! The Ped Egg thing comes with two pieces of ~100 grit sandpaper. They just stick on the top and bottom. Scrapes them up real good. I threw the other bits away.

Sounds awesome man. Best thing I can recommend is what you are already doing. Take some time with it and tinker around with different ideas. As much planning as I put into this I've still run into unexpected shit, but that is always, always the case.

Thanks bro! I have an actual plan with the Coco this time and won't doom the grow from the beginning. I'm not going to worry about creating a thread for the G Bomb table grow.

I cut one of the stems and it felt/looked like it was packed off with crap inside. Really really hard. Deep purple veins. I really f'ing fried these things. It's pretty pathetic.

Fuck it. I learned a lot. We shall see what they do. It's a good example of, no matter how good your equipment is, if you don't have the skills, you don't have shit.

what gramps what do you do? just shake them around in the pedegg?

Yep. Just take them out of the package and dump them in the Pet Egg and shake it for a bit.

I cut the Ozone damaged plant today!!!!! :yay:

I can see how trimming can become a pain in the ass quite quickly, but I was loving every second of it tonight.

First, here is the worst of the damaged branches. DOA

One branch was dead all the way through. The other was really messed up. Probably about 40% of this plant was damaged.

Here is a pic of the trunk.

It had started to die as well.

THE GOODIES!!!

All things considered I was pretty surprised with what I got off this plant. The entire process was a mess as far as having anything even sort of dialed in. I have no idea what the weight is. The nuggs seem pretty dense to me. :dunno:

It's a beautiful site, and a reward well worth the wait and work.

I'm going to cut the rest on Tuesday. I can't wait too see how this room performs once I have myself dialed and settled in.

It's been great to share this with all of y'all. You have no idea how much it has helped me!! Means the world! Today was great day.

Once the gas is turned on, Veg room finished, and other table setup, I'll consider this room mission accomplished. That should be by the end of this week or beginning of next.

Thanks guys!

The QP is kind of what I'm thinking too. :yay: I took a bunch out for hash too. The poor light distribution made for a bunch of frosty crap. Anything that wasn't a nice nug is going to hash.

I have bubble bags and a little washing machine coming this week. ;)

I'm going to run thinner rope for drying tomorrow too. That was all I had laying around and it's too thick. It's bruised some buds.

I didn't get any scissor hash. I dipped my scissors in a glass of alcohol. I'm going to let it evaporate and see what's left. It was dark and nasty.
