Sorry if I missed any of the technical details, I only skimmed over this thread. But it seems pretty obvious that everything that bubbles isn't necessarily butane... as evidenced by bubbling of hash from butane-free, mechanically-separated resin heads.

Reminds me of that joke in "Top Secret", the password for the French Resistance. There are no good Organic Chemistry textbooks. They're all brutal and boring. My shit's out of date so I can't necessarily recommend it knowing there's new stuff. You'll have a lot more fun reading the lab books for organic chemistry, full of glassware and devices to remove solvents. Practical stuff full of technique.

Could you please do a tutorial on the best way to 'purge' a BHO extraction. From what i work out it is best to keep temps down and use as little agitation as possible. No water wash of oil at the end.
Surely any butane left would just be converted to CO2 and water when combusted anyway

My presence upsets those who value their online hash reputations though. When someone spends years holed up somewhere defining themselves in public fora as an undisputed master of the art, impossible to challenge, they see anyone who matches or exceeds their knowledge as a threat. Thus, the new voice must be disposed of using any means necessary. Only then can those who define themselves through the praise of others regain their thrones and composure.

Only that Rick Simpson is a dangerous lunatic who doesn't understand science or medicine and he's doing more harm than good turning people against a product that not only has medical properties but has infinite things to teach us about paths to new cures. The admins have stated publically that they believe Rick Simpson's oil cures cancer and that it was prophesied in the Bible. Therefore I'm a threat to them since I can prove them and anyone else wrong when they actually are. Many people aren't interested in receiving, only transmitting.

Did you know that the DEA has a husband and wife team of Arabs do all the weed research in the country? And that the guy is even more uptight than people here? And in league with the DEA? He actually writes letters when other people try to get permits to research weed or related things to stop them, claiming his facility is sufficient. They don't let him research things about tumor prevention, if you want to do that you have to do it on your own with private grant money. What they DO pay for him to do: anal suppository THC research, new ways to test for THC in your hair and urine, ways to tell what strains you've been smoking, ways to prove you've been abusing marijuana and not taking Marinol and vice versa, etc. Ways for the DEA to put more charges on you. They let him have the butt-pill as a reward for his years of faithful service. I'm talking to you Mahmoud.

I did read somewhere about urine tests and THCv levels to bust patients who used on top of marinol and also to try and catch those who use on top of sativex as well

Do you know where i could get the data on what terpenoids and other oils (non cannabiboid) are produced in which world regions? Strains from hot regions having totally diffent profile than that of colder regions. Did a google but not much use

If I was going to recommend one article it would be that Brenneisen / ElSohly 1988 but it costs $25 online and the Skunkman says he only has it in print. There are private DEA studies since everyone was obsessed with using this to "fingerprint" weed for a while. But this is the one that all the overviews refer to and it's got the DEA's pet researcher on it to make sure it can be used to bust people. This is back in the late 80s when the US actually wanted to make some progress so they had Brenneisen visit Mississippi and lube up Mahmoud for some suppository patents.
