^yea MFT but that Aboss prick was making it sound like i got a fat ass 60k bank account to just dip into whenever i have to pay a class. the money is all gone it all went to my over priced 4 year college.

i really hate the business profit mongering aspect of some schools. They charge you 150 for a book that you cant even sell back because tehy upgrade to the new edition. its just a way for them to pull more money out of people.

its like you gotta pay to play. what abuot my friends with no money who cant afford college. are tehy less better people because of that? oh but my roomate from an upper class family who just drinks and partys all day but he got a college degree so hes better?

fuck that noise. i hate that attitude that a degree makes you more upperclass or better. such a snobby attitude i hate that shit.


my brother is really into cars and wants to be a subaru mechanic, he works on cars all the time. but because my grandma gave us college money my parents forced him to go to college where he is straight flunking out and probably wont graduate. if he had just gone to wyotech or something he wuold already have a job at subaru. but noooo according to my family mechanics are inferior lower class people he needs to get a degree and do something else. Fucking bullshit elitist arrogant attitude if you ask me.

A degree is what you make of it..most people can get one, there are plenty, it's how you make yourself stand out from the rest that matters.

My bro got sent to college bc it was the 'right thing to do.' Even went for a glassblowing degree. Dropped out in 1 month because they made him take math. Now he's a full time glassblower, self taught with help from others, & sucessfull.

What'd it take? Risk. Whether its's risking a glass studio investment or huge debt from college or a mortage or a loan or whatever, it's a risk, an investment, a gamble.

You're lucky, you got a huge headstart that most people don't ever even dream of having. College is current&future security, a place to grow, learn, further yourself, have fun...etc..ahhhh im rambling...im going to stop now..lol

hah not gonna lie i really love goin to class. today my new spanish class was way better and the cool thing is there are a few good looking girls that ive been talking too trying to see if something happens. this new college has a WAY different flock of girls. at my old school it was mostly preppy rich white girls with stuck up attitudes and a few minorities that were all kinda square. but this new college is in hayward so its the most diverse school ive ever been too. so many latina women i swear to god im in heaven fuck. today in class i was talking to this cute spanish chick that im gonna make my #1 target. i think shes got a man who looks kinda thuggish but fuck it. also theres an asian girl who i know is already jocking we were partnered together during the typical spanish intro icebreaker. she will be my backup.


i guess i should be focusing on the spanish but ive been working alot lately and havent been around this much pussy in a year so im breaking my neck every five seconds giving girls the eye hah.



also, who on here is REALLY FLUENT in spanish? i want to ask someone abuot the preriterit (sp) and that other imperfecto one. like how the word "hacer" has another 24 different ways to say it, how do i know which one??

Dude, I never believed it when I was your age when people told me college would be the best time of my life, there really is some truth to that, I try to make all my life as good as college but damn it's kinda challenging to do that in the end! Tengo is I want. Tenies is You want, tenemos is we want. You change how you say/spell verbs depending on who is speaking and what tense (past/present/future) the are speaking in

Verb congregation. It's the hardest thing to get down IMO.

the hard thing with preterite and imperfect is that they both are the past tense. In english you dont have 2 different forms of past so its hard to grasp the idea.

I was in college for lots of years- I eventually learned that it is mostly a hoop jumping education. You learn how to bounce through society and follow rules. By the end I wasn't even buying my text books and still getting decent grades.

as for learning a foreign language- one word for you bro, immersion. Like titoon mentioned, study abroad. Go to a spanish speaking country for a semester or year. You'll have no choice but to speak the language and you'll be exploring, broadening your world view. best to do it when young and carefree. I mentioned it in another thread, but the WWOOF program is ill if your trying to travel on the cheap.

every single person i know who has a degree, with the exception of one, does not work in there field and makes less then 20k a year. such a shame.......

yeah a bacherlors degree in arts and social sciences won't get you a decent job unless you have connnections or get lucky.

i'm planning on going to lawschool. you really need a graduate degree in something useful to get a decent job.

some people think you go to unviersity and get a degree and bam you just fall into some high paying office job yeah right.

there are tons of college garduates working all kinds of shitty jobs including minimum wage jobs.
