Where'd the blue dreams go on the 126W side lol? I can't recognize anything but the hindu head cola in the pictures...

It seems to me as though the 126W plants might benefit from an extra week in bloom, but it's hard to judge from these photos. I know that Hindu for sure looks a bit behind the others...

i was trying to get better pics of the hindu skunk since i haven't did a good job in the past. all plant are going an extra week in bloom while i flush them. the plants haven't really grown too much lately their just going to ripen off now and not get that much fatter. ive been looking at the trics every day and their getting real close to being fully ripen. the hindu is a little behind the rest of the plant, she might go longer, ill look at her agian before i pull my others to see if she is done? i think she needs some more time.

the grower always knows better than the picture looker lol ;)

thats true. i wish my other hindu wasn't a runt, because i have never seen resin on a plant like that before. plus she is a high yielding girl. i might do an out door grow with that hidu strain later on. all her fan leaves and stems are covered with resin . that snow storm product really lived up to its name.

Irish, these look a little on the light side to me in terms of bud development, but not big-time so. How many weeks is this strain supposed to bloom?

8-9 week flowering time. i am letting them go a little over 10 weeks. they might look on the light side but the trichs dont lie. their already turning amber. its just the way the leds grew them.

When I look at the individual pictures the 180 seems to have more development but it also has the power advantage. Then I look at the side by side with both lights in the picture and they look to be equal in terms of flower production. I'm still sticking with what I said from the start. Whatever light wins it wont be more then 1/4 oz.

As you said Irish you look at the triches everyday but from the viewer side it looks like they need more time (mainly the tall hindu) but the microscope doesn't lie.

I know this grow isn't done yet, so I don't want to sound like I'm jumping the gun, but would it help for cola development/size/weight if you augment with a 400w hps?
I'd like to go all LED, but not at the expense of light outcomes, know what I mean? I need to see more final products from LED's. No disrespect intended or implied.

I have a90w in with a 400,have only used it for 1 grow, same strains as grow before and found the buds were a lot bigger and tighter but finished(30% amber)about a week earlier with about 20% of pistils still white.I think at the minute if you want to grow tall plants your only choice is hps but leds do help fill in all the gaps.

What really helps is having a higher watt/square foot rating. Right now Irish has the 126W and 180W in a 2' x 3' area (if I remember right), meaning the 126W area has 21W per square foot and the 180W has 30W per square foot. In my personal garden I ran about 50W per square foot and produced buds the size of soda cans quite regularly. The watt/sq (or better yet micromole per square meter data) makes a lot of difference as to what your plants are able to do, in x amount of time.

Yes.... It takes a minimum of 40 watts per square foot of properly tuned LED's to compete with 50 watts a square foot of HPS. The problem with this is... 40 watts a square foot of LED cost an arm and a leg and my first born..

not to mention your not really saving on the power bill having to run more led's just to compete w/hps..
i still have yet to see any bud shots that can hold a candle to my 1000w hps..
LEDGIRL, I hope in the future you can truly come up with something that can compete w/ a hps and really save on power consumption all within a respectable price range..
hard to want to spend the money on led's when for less money you can have way more yield..

If I use 50 watts a square foot of HPS against 50 watts a square foot of LED's. There are two things that one could save on. One is Heating and Cooling the other is Nutrient Consumption. Less heat = less perspiration from the plants. Now I can get the same yield using LED's as you can using HID, as long as both growing conditions are the same trust me. BUT you will have alot bigger flowers no doubt about it. No matter what I do the LED set up can not compete with the 1000W HPS flowers as far as size goes... Why.. It's called (single point light source)... That's why HID being only 69% useable in terms of efficiency still throws big flowers...
