You are doing a great job of it, its looking good. Yeah I can see the spider wire now you`ve pointed it out. Looks like it does the job, though I dont like to let anything in my growrooms that has SPIDER at the beginning of it`s name! Lol.

I`m thinking along similar lines re timing of end of training. I went past this point with my 2 plant growtent and regret it. I`m going to go with 4 plants in the growtent next time around, and veg for less time and have more or less just the main cola stems coming up, then if that works out better, I`ll do the same in my bigger grow, its cool having the smaller tent grow as a kind of pilot grow a few weeks ahead of my main grow. I just took 16 cuttings to choose the best 4 from, from my main grow today, though I`m hoping to get a choice or two of strain to go with and may ditch my current cheese strain. . . . . . well keep a mum just incase she excells herself in my bigger scrog.

Good to you`re gaining confidence, you`re getting some great help on this grow.

just an update! 1/1/10

just an update! 1/1/10

Well this will be about my 6th day into flowering and finally as of yesterday things slowed down a bit...I suspect that in the next couple of days the stretch bell begin and quickly come at me in full force. Ive been using this time to train the plants and prune under the screen, as well as a little strategic pruning above the screen...as everyone saw i was beginning to be over grown! Its not so bad if you can actually see what im working with" as far as whats left of the screen" all of the growth makes it look alot worse tha what it is...BUT...it is still a little much, if i would have known more about the growth patterns of the BJ's and the phenos i have as well as more experience scrogging i might be a little better off. All in all, considering the facts...I dont think im doing all too bad.:dance013:

Ive decided to add some new pics tonight...ill take a couple before i tuck or mess with the canapy and then a couple more after im done for the night...I think it worked out better that way...gives more of a sense of what ive accomplished. Im a little worried that ill be over wehlmed once the stretch hits..depending on how fast the stems grow...i have to figure out where and how to train them to best suit the screen. lately ive been twist tying some of the branching to the net in hopes that when the time comes ill be able to double the stem back around and head back taward the center or away from the edges. I would imagine i want the bigger colas away from the edge to give them some room to be all they can be!... anyone have any master plans or secret training techniques? I think ill be ok but any info or thoughts from others are always welcome here!
Just a quick update before i finish up on some other chores that ive been neglecting due to playing with my girls:whistling:

1.3EC or 610-620 PPM @ .5 conversion, and the PH is still sitting stable at between 5.7 and 5.8.
Im considering doing a change out in the next couple of days...I have added back alot of water lately. but at the same time ive also added back a nute solution that matches the PPM's in my tank on a few occasions since last chngeout. Really they should have everyting they need in nute solution for a while yet, but im not going to take any chances...ill just stop being lazy and make sure that everything is on point for the best possible growth..including fresh nutes!

well everyone...stay tuned, new pics and info Tonight
.........................Peace Skunk..........

Those are healthy. Always like to see the smaller grows and how much everyone is able to get from lights under 1000W. Looks like you'll do pretty good.

SCROGER... thanks for stopping in and giving some posative reinforcement! I sure hope im doing things right!.,,I sure am trying...The good results are a result of somones good direction a;)

ursus...always nice to have new names pop in and leave feedback..ya..I sure hope i yield alright...this is my first scrog attempt so it is a learning experience. Overall it seems like im doing alright? stay with the show and find out? thanks for stoppin rhru, your welcome here any time!

Blue, Hows it gowing bud? nice to see ya again! the training isent so bad i guess! it can be a bit of work at times. all of the leaves in the way make it difficult to see where i want to or need to lead the branches too. I havent had any massive amount of stretch? makes me wonder if my MH enhanced blue eye hortilux bulb is actaully helpin keep things in check? i need to keep a close eye on this as this will determine my next move. I may need to switch out to HPs already and see if that helps to get things moving along? Stay with the show...things could get fun real quick!

ok..everything seems to be looking good...I managed to change my nutes out on 1-8-10 if i failed to mention that..my bad. I diddent really increase my EC, as it was still 1.3 when i finished. I did start adding liquid koolbloom to my solution now as well...so the list got bigger! In 24 gallons of tap water @180 PPM
80ML micro
160ml Bloom
20ml Floralicious
30ML cal-Mag Plus
50ML Liquid kool Bloom

Tomorrow i will add both GH subcultures B and M.

I was thinking of letting my EC go up a bit, I think my plants can handle a little more nutes...Ive been expirmenting with my auto topper, trying to get it set so it will keep things pretty close to right on"as far as PH and ec Goes" The solution in my rez is 430 PPM@ .5 conversion..today it pulled a little over a gallon or so and it made my PPM's raise slightly in my controller and buckets. My first thought was to correct it with ph adjusted water...but ive decided to let it drift up a bit before i fix it. I went from 630PPM-650PPM...Ill let it go a bit higher then water down the solution in my rez so that it dont climb anymore. thats my plan there.

The girls have picked up speed in growth, but not as much as expected. Today Im changing to HPS from my MH-blue hortilux bulb and hopefully this will bring things along a bit. One things for sure, the added lumens and spectrum change wont hurt anything!

SO as of right now..............................................................

PH 5.9....EC 1.3, 0r 650PPM @ .5 conversion....nute temp is 68 degrees F, 12-12 photo period, lights out 70 degrees F, 29% RH.

I think thats all for now. if im missing anything lemme know!
...peace and luck everyone!.... Skunk:dance013:

Hey Skunk, looking great there. You ending training here and letting them go?

Just a thought, but if the EC is increasing in a recirculating set up, it probably means they`re getting enough or a little too much EC already.

Keep up the good work, I`m sure it`ll all become a little easier for us both once we`ve got used to it and dialed everything in. Of course then we`ll come up with something else to have a go at and start learning all over again, heh heh.

toke...its increasing because my rez, which feeds my auto topper has a nutrient solution in it that isent low enough to keep my controllers solution from rising as it adds back what is taken in by my plants...i need to dilute my rez so that when my controller pulls from it, it keeps my buckets stable or near stable...at the moment i want my ec to slowly come up to 680-700 ppm..once it hits that mark ill dilute the rez and go from there!..does that make sense? If that confuses anyone let me know so i can explain better? if i can.
Peace, Skunk

Wow Skunk you are doing a great job growing those ladies. Nice job. It's about time to flip those ladies over into flower and watch the nuggets form and the tops come out. I like the training it is really one of the best techniques. Good luck

Here you go, just making sure you are staying excited over your BJ's ;)

My little rasta bud, making dreads, just like me ;)

One more of her...

Well, what can you say ...
picture.php

There are about 8 colas like that in there.

Here you see what I'm trying to avoid next time, the mad stretch lol. But on the bright side the nugs are tight almost all the way down, thanks to the foliage not being too dense ;)
picture.php

This is just a queen of a dense nug there hmmm....

That aught to keep you on track ;)

Aye, I get it, its not a recirculating residue that`s getting stronger, but your auto top up controller adding a bit too much strength back (or not, as you want the ppm`s up a bit anyway) to replace what is used up by the plants. Is that right? I`m just a couple of days ahead of you and mine seem happy as larry on EC15/EC1.5 that`s run to waste, the run-off is reading EC10.

Heh heh, in a couple of weeks time you`ll have buds all over the screen, frustrating waiting, but exciting eh? I cant see any issues with your`s at the mo, they`re looking good and stocky and not stretching dramatically at all.

Hey, cool show Kind, they look real good dude! I`m looking for a couple of new strains at the mo and may look into this one if it scrogs well for Skunk. I`m a real lazy f****r when it comes to growing from seed though and usually lucky enough to get cuts of good strains when they`re about and amongst my friends, in fact I`ve never gone from seed once in over 20yrs. I`ve hopefully got a particularly good BigBud coming, Amageden or AK47, not sure which, and another friend has mentioned maybe getting some Strawberry, I`ve never heard of that one. Hopefully I`ll have plenty of options next time around.

How long in and what`s the expected flower period, and what weeks did the main stretch occur. Is it just the strain that`s stretchy do you think, or could you have any issues such as heat etc.?

If they fill out and make club like colas I doubt you`ll think they`ve overstretched at all:biggrin:.

You gonna scrog this strain next time around Kind?
