Please keep posting you are doing a great service to all growers. The hate is based out of ignorance. I have seen it over and over again on OG and IC Mag when someone comes on to post a bust thread people flame like crazy. They don’t want to believe it could happen to them. They are way too smart for that to happen and they never make mistakes even with the LEO staring them in the face.
20/20 hindsight is so easy to make judgment and unless we were in your shoes with your circumstances we simply cant say what we would have done. I have made a thousand stupid mistakes in my growing career some are so Juvenal it’s incredible. Every hater is either never been in your shoes or just lucky but they will find out it can happen to anyone. In one year, I guess its two years, I have seen two Mods on this site fall to busts. It happens don’t pay any attention to the nay Sayers you are providing invaluable advice to all who pay homage to this hobby even the haters.

I was fine until the OP started to brag about what they got away with. It made this story less believable/more about being cool on the internet ... Let's assume GS is telling us the truth ... Not having the credentials to grow legally where you can is just Ignorant and in the midst of growing weed illegally they had a Rave waiting to happen sans the DJ and some X ... As a Grower and Smoker I sincerely hope that Nothing comes of this bust ... but as a person who has been locked up for much less I kinda wish they had found the psychedelics and taught GS a real lesson. Apparently the other lessons didn't stick. And on that Lesson note ... I ask you ICers How many wake up calls does 1 grower need? GS got 3. If what he says is true.

nothing much to do till movers come. Spent last night in the house on the 13th. Had the Trailer Park Boys movie downloaded to watch but it didn't work. So cold that night I let the dog sleep on my bed. First time I ever saw her shiver. Covered us all up and it wasn't too bad. Peace GS

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Been in the exact same situation....and damn I totally remember wishing for a generator so I could not have to stop working when the sun went down. I used LED headlamps but they were only so good. The light would just die inside and at the time, and sadly had no dog to cuddle up to for warmth while sleeping.
I slept at friends houses for a few days while at the house packing during the day. Mind you my landlord gave me less than a week to move everything out of the house and said they'd be coming in that weekend to toss everything that wasn't moved out, and change the locks. I still paid the landlord an extra months rent because he was an agent for a private owner, and I didn't want them to be out of pocket for my grow. I told them I would cover all repair and hookup costs but never heard from them after.
Can't imagine sleeping in a house without heat this time of year. I'm surprised that they were actually able to cut your power and gas given the house was heated in part by both, no? We have laws in Canada preventing utility companies from cutting off access to heat during winter months, so I am surprised the municipality is able to order it. Another reason charges won't be likely, I am hoping, because this process would certainly be a violation of that statute. BTW The statute of limitations for this situation is 2 years if I am not mistaken- I asked my lawyer that very question during my... uhm... incident. I have lots of questions but none I want to prompt you to answer publicly so I will wait 'till next time our paths cross.

I know him and have been to his (grow)house on a few occasions... he's a very kind and generous soul and well known in his cannabis community as honest. Not to mention he grows some of the finest buds I've smoked in years. Say what you want about 5KW and a cash operation but GS's garden were low yielding because of his philosophy of growing the best, not the MOST which is a real rarity in a large commercial grow scene like the lower mainland of BC. This is possibly why the 'visitors' were surprised at what the grow looked like. They are expecting hydro tables and hundreds of plants, not tall, super ripe, mildly-fed yellow/purple lovelies.

Sounds to me like you are pissed off for your time served, and are trying to misdirect that anger at GS rather than the system that imposed those hardships on you. Just because YOU got an unjust punishment doesn't men GS should have to endure the same thing.
Maybe you don't agree with some of the substances that were at GS's house, but who are you to wish punishment on him? What makes you so sure he is in need of 'teaching a real lesson'? And just who, may I ask, made you the moral authority to impose such judgements? Are you a member of his peers? Do you even live in the same city?
Perhaps you should post a thread of your crimes and punishments so everyone else can feel free to criticize you for your choices and actions. Judge not lest ye be judged.

hey gs dont apologize. i was merely astounded that you let them in and didnt seem to realize the err of your ways. ill keep reading.
sorry for your luck bro. best wishes for the future. i am in no way critisizing your decision to let them in but in retrospect, if you had to do it again, would you opt to ignore them and let them return another time, after you had cleared it all out? im thrilled to hear that you avoided charges but would like to know if you think you could have done anything better?

Thanks Chimera for your very kind words. As I have stated already in this thread, if you are asking if it happened again would I risk bringing cops to someone else's house to save my butt the answer is still no. Far easier to start over than put someone else at risk.. Peace GS

-take dog to vet to have tooth removed
movers come.
-drying room stuff needs to be cleaned before it comes out so I ask the movers to do that room last
-Move stuff from basement out to yard for movers. When I am one one of them pulls me aside. Says some of this stuff cannot be taken , I look and he just started in that room right away after I asked him to do it last. Turn out he had taken out a bag of fan leaves and packed it on the van. I told him he was supposed to do that room last and that bag was garbage and not supposed to go. Go get it back. Well it's buried now he says.Lame.
-I tell them there is a freezer in the main part of the basement that needs to go too. Then I go down and close the doors to all the rooms. No need to have them snoopin' in there. Then I go do some small packing and the dude comes back , that's a huge freezer. So he was down there, then he says, so they let you keep your equipment huh. Facker went and snooped anyways. I looked at him, what's wrong with you man? Again he says huh and walk away to do something else.
-I realize I won't have enough cash to pay for move and call boss, he says, give he boys what you have and come down later and we will work things out. They finish and I send them on their way.
-Couple hours later I show up at the storage and see the boss. He says, ogh the boys should be done maybe go see how they did. I go down to the basement and head for the loading docks, as I approach I can see the 3 movers on their knees. They have the bag of shake spread all over this long roll of paper and are picking out the small nugs. One notices me, ho ho customers here. I look at them, what the hells is wrong with you guys. I told you that's garbage. You better not be charging me for this time. No no charge. I say I toldya there's crap in there. One dude shows me 3 little nubs. The dude in charge looks at me and says you can't keep this here. I said I told that guy it wa garbage and you weren't supposed to take it anyways. He looks at the dude shaking his head. Well it can't stay here. I was like I am on foot . I'm not carrying that bag with me on foot.You guys took it when you weren`t supposed to. Put it back in the garbage bag and it into the alley. It will be gone in 20 minutes. Ok he says. Then I look in the back of the moving truck and my tool box was still on there. I was like what's up with that. Oh is that yours dude says? I was like is it yours? He says no then gives the others shit for forgetting it.
