"La Tertulia" (prinsen gracht) was my home base last time I was there.
Family run place with nice people where you can play boardgames and listen to jazz ad reggae, the atmosphere not so "up beat" and turist minded like the downtown coffeeshops.

I like sitting in the back, with a view of the canal. Just to the side of the budtender room.
Recall having a great soup and lunch on a rainy day. Selective memory suggests they had rabbit on the menu.

in Haarlem is nothing worth my money and in Amsterdam its becoming the same way

many great shops in the Dam....and, your mileage may vary....sometimes an otherwise great shop will have a budtender who is grumpy one day...its not always so easy to be always pleasant it seems....spend your money where you get good products or good service or both

Umma Gumma was great, haven't had chance to check it out properly since it became part of the Dampkring chain... Too bad the cool The Wall-themed paitings on the walls had to go. Bluebird is a great shop too, good hash selection.

BTW, does any one know if the ECSD on Grey Area's menu is the real deal / worth checking out?

rokerij on leidseplein was before the best shop, special for hash but more recent thing have change. now you need to find the shop with best goods!

Amnesia coffee shop cause they have good stuff to smoke, the staff is helpfull when you

wonder wich strain is the tastiest and the most potent, and cause they have few tables

outside for the sunny dayz.

the best one i went to was a small independent shop in an alley just off dam square. had a glow in the dark toilet. dont remember the name...

Currently...my favorite shop is Greenhouse United on Haarlemstraat.

It is my favorite to chill at. To buy bud and hash there are just too
many to list. I really liked the Bij coffeeshop that JamiesShoes showed
during the HTCC in November for buying buds. Excellent quality and
very good value for the money. Their other shop Borejongers is just
as good, and has some really killer gear. These shops are 4 stops on
the 1st or 17th tram from Ledseplein. Not so close, but if you are
buying 5 to 10 grams...it is definitely worth the trip.

Another killer strain I discovered is the Amnesia from Rokerij that is
near Ledseplein. That shit had an experienced grower from California
really "high" which is amazing considering the amounts of weed that
I seen him smoking until we sparked that joint.

As far as hash the rif from Dampkring is awesome, even the Aisha
which is 8.5 eur per gram. And the Hing Hasan Supreme from
Greenhouse United was also really excellent at 10.50 eur per gram.

The budtender gave me a 1.7 gram piece because I told him I was
from Icmag. This was really cool, and I smoked the whole thing in
their shop using a glass bong they let me use.

Hi!

I think Softland coffeshop is the best.
Not the best menu, but the Honey Maroc (Puntjes) hasch and the white smurf weed is top of the line, both about 8euro/g!
The interiour is crap but the staff i the best. The Irish that owns the place is the nicest guy i have ever meet in Amsterdam. He sat down and talked to me and my wife for over an hour. He also shared about five joints with us from his personal stash, free of charge.

abraxas, cause you can go upstairs and chill out for hours.. i met some very friendly people from all over the world there !

but didn t buy any weed, just their amnesia o lator, which is really good but too expensive.

amsterdam is really way to expensive for smoking... with my 5 to 10g a day i can t afford spending more than a couple of days...

but worth the visit !
