Move over California The Pot Capital is .......

with those crazy mexican grows in the forests cali still outgrows everyone; don't even count the med stuff; outdoor climate in cali can't be beat anywhere else in the country or the cartels would be growing there instead

Whatever the clime it will have an effect on growth.

It's true that We have a nice time in most of California.. I love the winter grows here. They, however, are a different style from summer grows so, again, it depends on conditions.

I'm open this next year for Sponsors to sponsor me on a world tour so I can write with more experience on world wide growing conditions. Wink Wink Nudge Nudge.

I just had a flashback to high school (1977). It was common knowledge that you couldn't grow good pot in the US. Cannabis for getting high will only grow at the equator.

One of the reasons I like to question stuff that everybody 'knows'. I'm glad I was an idiot, and thought what the hell, I'll give it a try...

So the "pot capital" is determined by the ratio of dispensaries to total population?

By their logic, it is almost certainly a town in Norcal or something with a dispensary or two and a small population, giving them a better ratio than Denver.

IMO, that is a silly criteria for determining the "pot capital."

Word!

That's the high heat theory? I remember that one!

From what I've read about the Colorado dispensaries, I'd vote CO the king of dispensary rip offs. Who is going to pay $15 or ++more / gram?

I lived there for several years, I don't wanna knock it, it's a cool state with cool people. Love the mountains and climate. I am not knocking the people or the state, k?

Yes there is some really fine stuff there, but also lots of just average in my book. Any dog turd that smells like hay will go for 50/eighth down there if you shape it right.

I've smoked Cali, Oregon, Wash, and Alaskan. There is excellent weed everywhere, of course, but I found that most of the people who said Colorado had the best weed anywhere, were people who had actually never lived anywhere else, funny how that is. ;)

I lived in Denver for 6 years and in cali for 30+ (east coast also) so I've seen the country coast to coast.

If your not a skier cali has just as much to offer and then some.

It was 70 degrees today in San Diego. It's probably snowing right now in Denver.

Do the math! lol

MOre Dank is grown outside med states.. U can gloat all you want but we know :) No offence to cali because you are the #1 med state but good pot is grown non med state like a MO FO. i cant even guess the best dank growin state cuz its all over and thats a plus. We should not gloat about who got the best nugs cuz its good n all areas. Merry xmas!! And green to all!!!!!!!!!

lol cali was growing long before it was a medical state and has set a standard for others to meet. one simple reason this is true is because of our weather. if we are talking outdoor or indoor, ca meets or exceeds expectations nationwide.

not that it is even a contest tho.

btw- lots of this herb in CO is coming from CA.

You must be thinking about SoCal there, lots of fast access to skiing for many Northern Californians, just follow I-80 east...........

rado's bud is weak sauce i no so many fools from boulder and denver that think they get the chronic but it all either came from cali or the strain originated in cali
cali is king
norcal for life not dissin any rado residents but its the truth

Pfui. Soon DC will mean District of Cannabis.

In all honesty, Pythagllio has a point...

IF, and that's a BIG IF, they implement the MMJ proposition as passed by the people. D.C. is not California and it is not a constitutional amendment - so they are not required to do so. Indeed, they may well back down on expressly allowing sales by non-patients.

However, if the D.C. init is implemented as approved at the polls? D.C. will have the most permissive MMJ laws in the world.

That evidently wasn't a high school in Oregon in '77 lol

Word! My dad grew good stuff in a skylight in 1971, but that was in the San Francisco bay area.

Back in that time period one could occasionally be offered 'Hawaiian'. While I'm sure a percentage was actually from the islands, I'll bet dollars to dirt that most of it was grown by people who knew better.

Not Oregon, it was the VA suburbs of DC. Just my little pocket of reality at the time.

It was mostly due to our crew having big brothers who clued us in ;)

'78, I got a 1k MH & grew some to the ceiling for about 4 months before buying a book & learning about photoperiods. :D We had a cool weed cave that we hollowed out of the jungle, we'd hang out in there & get baked!

My dad grew his in the backyard behind a pecan tree and some bushes way in the back of the yard. my grandparents didnt notice it for years. The back yard is like a acre though.

soon as i start regularly seeing threads of 100+ lb grows, (with 1000s more going undocumented that are much much bigger) coming from other states ill believe they are competing with cal...cal supplies most of the country with its meds.
