First, I've lived in cali over 30 years. Probably longer then you appear to have been alive.
Second, you missed my point. I'm NOT a rec user, I'm a med user but when I took my significant medical history to medicann they barely even looked at it then gave me a rec and from the looks of all the fakers in the lobby I knew why.

So I'm watchin the Blu-ray of Office Space last night and in the supplements it talks about how the origin of "ass clown" is attributed to Michael Bolton's character in the movie.

I was watching Pawn Stars last night on tv and a guy comes in with a bottle of prohibition whiskey from the 20's.
On it is an area to affix your prescription from the doctor in order to purchase and use the whiskey as medicine in order to circumvent the prohibition laws.
So this medical idea for MJ is not new, it's just a tried and true method that worked in the past for other forms of prohibition, that's all it is.
I love that movie, I'll have to grab the BlueRay, because to be honest it is so much better than DVD. I hope you got a medical discount on the BlueRay because you needed to laugh for medicinal reasons

what are you mad about? That you didnt get a through exam from a Doctor? Have you ever been to a DOctor before ? Heath Ins gives them what? 15 minutes? if you get to see a real Doc not a nurse practictioner. So you are mad because there were other people in the waiting room that you didnt know what there condition was and they got a rec? I dont understand why it would matter to you how pot was being used by whoever. If if helps them get through the day then its a treatment of sort and could be considered medicine. You kinda trip me out. Whats your point anyways? Just say what you mean man. Stop beating around the bush. You got our attention...I have thought that some of your points in the pass were valid but wouldnt a drug dealer need to falseify medical documents to use the Medical defence? I don't know it just kinda pissed me off tonight. We have had a "drug war" waged on us for 30 years, and this was a battle that, not just Mr. Wilson but we as a community...WE WON! Have we forgotten that in battle, one moves with the unit, or is vulnerable alone and often easily picked off.
Bickering among ourselves is counter productive, and we are helping the ones hurting us, by not helping ourselves. The 4 minutes you spent trying to come up with witty to say, was the time you should've spent looking up your congressman, senator, representative and writing an articulate, punctuated letter.
The Establishment is moving in 1 direction..toward us. We as in "my" cannabis community, are chaotic, we can see them encroaching, yet we don't want to "out" ourselves, but if we all stood up to be counted, they would be overwhelmed and if we all said "Enough!", it would be beyond deafening.

No, that was my point.
The doctor I went to didn't even want to see my medical records and I'm legit so it would be easy for a dealer to get a rec.
That's really my beef, is the abuse from the doctors. But because it's not a prescription but rather a rec then the DEA doesn't really have the same power to regulate them and that's why there is so much doctor abuse.
If the DEA feels a doc is writing to many scripts for oxy for instance the DEA can pull the docs pad. No more scripts for him.
On the other hand, if a doc is writing a lot of recs the DEA isn't the one who investigates that, it's the medical board and they don't have nearly the resources that the DEA does, thus the abuse.
I mean a lot of growers see gold at the end of the rainbow in this game but imagine the size of the pot of gold the docs see when they are getting $100 every 15 minutes to write recs.

Cindiwaa and has_some_sinse good points thank you and if we all stood together we could make it legal for good it is just amazing all sorts of people use it to help them out if they were to lock us all us this country would fall apart quickly cops feds judges doctors lawyers a lot of high end upper class people do it that you would not even no if they never told you my guess would be that about 60% of they USA has done is doing it to help them.
