I would like to comment on the recommendations of Nirvana's PPP. I have experience with both Nirvana's Durban (Durban x skunk) and PPP, and must say that PPP definitely has more indica to it (it's not a durban x skunk), both as a plant structure and in the high. The high is strong, truly speedy, like durban, but in the same time I find it very boring and not motivating. I think the name is descriptive enough - pure power... but only power.

i do remixes and write lyrics, the most creative strains i got were c99 and ACE's angola x thai, jut finished a new song last weekend waking and baking 3 joints of the angolaxthai, after that i got a mystic revelation and had the dinner... :)

Must say Flo is a great choice for creative use as is Satori, Kali mist and a old strain called Western Winds, also great uplifting state from NL5 x Haze, Sour Creme by Dna Genetics and Silver Haze by Sensi, so many great strains available hope you find what you are looking for.

Ace Congo is a great motivational very stimulating high with no heavy body effects. I am very impressed with the creative flashes of cerebral energy I experience on Congo. Highly recomended.

Richard Williams Deep Congo uses Ace's Congo #3 female as the mother, crossed with Deep Chunk. The Deep Chunk doesn't seem to contribute much of a body load as other Afghani hybrids I've grown/smoked, and the effect is similar to what FourSeasons describes with the Congo. I've found the Deep Congo to be the most musical of all the herb in my genetic library, and I smoke it exclusively before gigs. I'm an improvising musician, mostly drums these days, and the Deep Congo is like smoking pure rhythm, and explodes my musical consciousness wide open every time. By far the best effect I've ever encountered for creating music. I can't wait for RW to release his Congo x Deep Congo backcross...

One of the best shows I've ever seen was just a few months ago. I got the drummer high as a kite on Sam's Thai Haze x Sk#1 during the set break. He's kind of my spiritual rhythm mentor, the heaviest jazz drummer I've ever known, but he lives out of the country these days, and plays here maybe twice a year. I twisted up a Mini Sharpie-sized doober of some well-cured Thunk and took it to the show, and he and his lady tore through the whole thing 5 minutes before he took the stand for the second set. It was like watching a nuclear fractal explode from within his drum kit. I've never seen him play with such abandon before. After the show he said "damn, what did you smoke with me? That was amazing!". Old-school shit, my man... old-school shit.

I still have 8 Satori seeds that I'm afraid to fuck with. I bought them based on reports of the effects. The first two seed plants I grew were beautiful, healthy females until they both went completely ladyboy at 6 weeks. I tried again with a clone, same thing. Thankfully I caught them before any opened, but still... I'm trigger shy now.

Afropips Tribal Vision is another creativity bomb for me - it's 12.5% Congolese. It's (Malawi x Blueberry) x ({Congo x Nepal} x SWT#3). It just takes so damn long to finish, and I always run out before it's done again. 13 weeks, but it yields like crazy, and under lights it's serious Faberge egg weed. Big, gnarly pink and golden creeping resin sculptures. Really susceptible to mold in the cure, but keep a close eye/nose on the jars and keep your hands off for 6 weeks or so, and get ready for some cosmic epiphanies. My friend grew my cutting outdoors this season and floated me a jar, and it's filled with smooth energy and good vibrations. I've been smoking it before working, and it keeps me completely entertained and sharp as a tack.

There's a High Times interview with the Haze Brothers that FourSeasons posted where the first sample they share with R was an "African/Afghani hybrid", and his description of the effect was dead on how I've been describing the effect of the Deep Congo since I first started growing it. No mention of the origin of the African, but I have a feeling many African lines have these types of effects. I've been collecting African hybrids when I can find (and afford) them with the intention of seeking out unique and useful heads. Ace's 'Golden Tiger' Malawi x Thai is in the on-deck circle... but I keep eyeing these Senegalese x Haze beans every time I go to the fridge for some seeds. Too many big Medusa Sativas in my stable right now, must hold off to retain growroom sanity.

My experiences were somewhat similar. It's a joy to grow though. Not too long lasting high, it's up and somewhat trippy, but just lacks something. Didn't like their fem Snowwhite either, she was a lot like PPP, but less frost, almost no taste although it smelled good, much happier high without the rush.
