Thanks, Backcountry. Insightful as usual. Will it be seeds, though, or clones? Legal clones through the mail might be an interesting activity in this hypothetical future...
Clones for the amateur/lazy growers, seeds for the people who have the talent and patience to grow a batch of seeds out and find the best plants.

I wish I had the facilities and freedom to grow out huge numbers of plants, and do intensive selection, this would be right up my ally. For now, my breeding takes place guerrilla style, only growing seeds for each strain every 3 years(to avoid genetic shift in the gene pool), and then selecting the best from a handful of plants, which is really not enough to effect much gene pool manipulation, but its what I got for now.

I need to find a safe addy, I'm itching to order some new genetics!

OjoRojo's Brew,Coffee, Bistro Shop:

A micro brewerie can recycle the CO2 it produces as well as "spent grain" as quality organic fertz... while roasting/grinding coffee masks weed smell in the building.

Part of the green coffee warehouse / office is destined for gardens... All sealed and CO2 pumping like a MOFO!

Besides, its nice to have some nice Joe and Weed... (hippie speed ball).

Add a Pizza or Bistro and you got some GAME going boy!

Tend to the plants after customers leave or before opening to the public.

BUT don't sell there... only a cover that makes real money.

Thinking this makes my hands sweaty!

I plan on switching over to selling clones and seeds locally, maybe even pollen if there's buyers for it. The genetics in the local medical market here are pretty stale. It's basically just the same lines of genetics passed around the whole state like a 2 dollar whore.

True that... Taking care of Moms and Cloning is a job by itself.

FedEx'd to your door steps.

And, people are developing tolerance for the current offerings.

Time to get busy child!

I personally don't ever see it being 100% legalized in the U.S. If it's decriminalized on a federal level...then it's still up to the states to make their own laws right(like it is now)?

I can't imagine every state making it 100% legal...there's too many bible belt/conservative states out there... there will always be some screwed up conflicting laws out there between states.

and as far as big businesses growing huge fields of commercial MJ, well....I'll be one of the first ones standing on the western edge of the field spraying pollen and mites eggs all over their crops. Maybe I could even GM the pollen, patent it, and confiscate the whole field and seed stock like monsanto does currently with their GM corn/soy stuffs. This couple was lucky enough to win their case, but how many times has monsanto done this to people and it doesn't make the news.

sorry to get a lil off topic, but I think that's where commercial production of MJ is headed (once it's legal) if we don't do something about it.

Most people who have never actually grown will say they will drive around town throwing seeds everywhere.... have fun...

I would utilized the legality of the plant to increase plant count, simply for the purposes of doing experiments so I can learn to grow better without fear of the man whining about plant count. I would also buy better equipment since I wouldnt be worried about it getting seized someday

Over time have cigs gotton more expensive or less?
Just because big agribusiness could produce weed cheaply doesn't mean they will sell it cheap.
Look at most pharmaceuticals, often times the container itself costs more to manufacture then the medicine in it, but we still get raped on prices.
They will charge what the market will bear and not a penny less.

I'm trying to buy a large greenhouse NOW in preparation for the inevitable. It's quite possible to do so in a MMJ state.

My dream is to provide everything from seeds, to clones, to vegged plants, to flowered plants, to cured product all under the same roof. One stop shopping for all your cannabis needs.
Aye... I have a lot of 'Happy' Strains that people REALLY need cuts of... especially in So-Cal. These people are so twitterpated it's disgusting. So much fraud and hate as well. Need to get people happy and focused on what's important again.... not what so and so did to whatsis last week while they were at work.

Gah! :D

If it's legalized then major corporations, private investors, and just about everyone else will be like a giant octopus pouncing on a sub culture to make a profit

I will scale up and be the low cost producer of high quality weed. Lower my price until I put you pot heads out of business, as weed becomes a commodity. Then when you pot heads give up and get real jobs, I will reap the rewards in the biz.

Thats my biz plan and I'm sticking to it. I'm submitting it to the bank tomorrow for a development loan.

Hey if it's legalized, Northern california's collective economy will crumble to dust, hooray for progress!

Weed in Mendocino county is said to make 90% of its economy. If it's legalized and that money goes away, you think a few tax dollars are gonna replace the billion dollars lost? Not a chance. This will not only bankrupt tons of families, but entire cities. Public schools will be a thing of the past.

On the off chance it does happen I'm opening a hydro store.

I'd go for a walk in a public park or around the neighborhood smoking a joint.

already do that, but just less concerned about being punished for it that's for sure...
i digress, ive found myself pretty ballsy about smoking in public, just about anywhere i want save for the vehicle as that doesnt count as privacy in the law, and i like having a license..I would never EVER smoke in as many places as i do, if i still lived in the US, so hands down it isnt even funny. - . -

i doubt it will ever be ridiculously cheap to buy, because it will forever take skilled labour to create good cannabis, so there will always be a top end market. ....as well as flooded with bottom end crap.
