Going to California Tomorrow (need advise)

Dude...whooaaaa....$100-$200 bucks to do Cali in? Right...good luck there.
cost that much out in Cali just for a single meal, or a 1/16 of dank, or a fill-up
with a 6-pack and joint for a cruise.
Ol lady is a native of Rohnert Park outside of San Fran and we stay out there and
travel to and from there a lot...as well as her having family there with a sister who
is a band member(read druggie/gay). We always take like $1000 or so bucks for daily
expenses, drugs, fun...etc.
Advice?...imo, hit the pay-day-loan, or hit up a family member, or get a loan BEFORE
you go and find out that you need more than pocket change to get by on.
In cali, cash TALKS and bs walks. No disrespect bro, but EVERYTHING in cali almost
cost more than that.
My ol ladys mother works like 3 jobs, makes almost 3 grand a week and STILL has
a hard time keeping up with her pg&e bills(course she supplies dear ol sis's habit too).
AND dear old mom is like 69 yrs old or so....
Rental is like outta sight, and lots of people live out of in&out burgers, but if you keep to
the coast highway, a lot of stuff is way more expensive than further inland.

$200 is plenty, you'll travel in the finest style. The words class and style mean two different things, and a wise person will seek style at every opportunity. Choosing to travel inexpensively may be the smartest move, as you'll probably discover. There may be lots of bucks in cannabis here in Cali, but the true connoisseurs around here generally have little to do with that machine.

Also, some of us here in SoCal don't really think that the north has better growers or strains than we do. Maybe there was a time, but it's past.

This is a good time of year to visit, there's a glut of high quality 'outdo' available for shockingly cheap prices. Encinitas is about 20 minutes south of me, it's a very, very cool surf town. I've always wished I lived there. Don't forget to sample the local mex cuisine, there are some great, inexpensive places there.

i dont think 200 is enough at all, unless you dont mind couch crashing or sleeping in a doorway haha.

50 on food and drink
another 50 or so for that train ticket.
then another 50 on herbs because you smoked all the rest.

I'm sorry, but if your mother-in-law is making $3,000 a week she should be living it up GEEZ My parents make $1,000/wk together and they still live moderately okay. Of course living in San Francisco area doesnt help you, everything up there is overpriced.

You can probably live off of $200 if you weren't buying pot. But if you are, you probably need more. Or share the costs.

If you can make it to humbolt area youll be able to find better cheaper buds than in SD. Its just goin to be a lil mission to get up there. Some of the nicest beaches and forests on the way up there. Those are free to enjoy... let us know how it goes

I recomend taking the boat ride to catalina island. $68 round trip from dana point. Its about the only place to see coastal socal as its used to exist in its natural state. Great place to bike and camp, snorkel and take in seacliff scenery - all for free. Pretty much no cars on the island either, just golf carts in the village.
