lol, a glass bong as first price,

Not sure what you mean, but if you are implying the prize is cheap, then I remind you the RESIN CUP at the LEGENDS of HASHISH Dinner is free to enter and only requires 5 grams to enter. The prize is a custom ROOR, not a cheap toy. But I warn you the competition is fierce, the quality of the entries was incredible last year, with the winner being Hindu-Kush water hash. We will see what is entered this year....
Dkgrower, if I misunderstood you, no problem.

and what won this year??

One single guy took most of the prizes, but I don't remember with what stuff. Could sample one of the entry (thanks Sam), made from some Hindu Kush strain and it was damn strong.

If you are joining up for the prize and not the chance to smoke all the great hash, and pride of winning, then you are missing the point of the dinner.

oh ya it would be cool to hear some stuff about the entered hash

I'm already planning what hash I am going to make for next year! Gonna get me a set of screen like those ones we saw at the expo!

I reckon we can get a piece ready each for next year mate!

The winner was a water hash made from fresh plants, "surprise" from Serious seeds stock.
It was the strongest, but I am not sure it would be wise to smoke it daily as it screwed with your throat as the hash was not cured or dried properly. I think I like hash made from plants dried and cured before making with water. The second place winner was Hindu Kush the same that won 1st place last year, third place was a melange made from 3 water hash and some dry sift, all three were really great, the three winners were 3 different people.
The dinner was a truly wonderful night, with great conversation and resin from many that was stupendous, as well as an Afghani Hubble Bubble water pipe going until midnight...
I have never seen so many so high.... Might have been the FMCD Sleestack in the Afghan water pipe, or the dry sift Afghani and Lebanese dry sift, wow what a night...
I was barely able to get home, and get up the next day....
I hope all had as good night as I did. See you next year, and bring some of your best resin to share!

Waaaaah ? am I reading you right Sam ? Is that serious ???
You mean that the stuff which won this hash cup was not even hashish yet ??? Strenght was the only factor ??
Please someone explain me how can an uncured and not well dry resin win the so-called "Hashish Legends Dinner" hash cup !

Man, I just don't know what to say and am standing in total dismay in front of my screen. I can't believe what I have read above, my brain just can't cope with that. I don't understand... This can only be a bad dream, I'm gonna wake up ! Damn, I'm not sleeping...
shocking, shocking, shocking !

Irie !

It was the strongest and best judged by Rob, Me, Bubbleman, and the other 3 judges.
Maybe next year Mriko could spend more time talking and smoking with all the folks there, if you did not smoke the "surprise" hash entry, then it is hard to make comments. Next year ask me to see the entries, I show then to anyone that asks, and smoke the entries with them also, you just need to ask as I am pretty much spinning all night long.
That said I agree about uncured water hash made from fresh plants, but I was out-voted.
Maybe next year you should be a judge? I respect your opinions in most cases, but when you told me you don't smoke hubble bubbles because of a bad experience with them in Pakistan, it did make me wonder...
Hubble Bubble water pipes are in my opinion, the best way to smoke large amounts of hash ever invented, but it really is for groups not single smokers.
We have had this discussion before, and as I stated, I am a firm believer in fast delivery of large doses of top quality hash, I understand if you feel different.
I understand others may have preferred delivery methods, but in a social situation there is nothing like 25-30 people taking giant hits on an Afghani hubble bubble and coming back to light up another few bowls or more.
Anyway Mriko, next year help by voting for, or even better, bringing 5 grams of something that will be voted the "best" that is dried right, cured right, and then made into hash.
I almost voted for Hindu Kush again, but gee he won last year, and Hindu Kush is my variety, I bred it. It seemed fairer to have a new winner instead of the same as the year before.
I do understand how quality is so subjective, "Surprise" had a Sativa high, which I liked, it was strong as hell, which I liked, it had a great taste, which I liked. It was made from fresh plants, which I don't like because it screws with your throat when smoked.
The solution Mriko is to talk to all the judges, smoke all the entries, and have a great time while explaining your view that fresh plants can't win because they are not finished hashish. If you are willing to try all the entries, consider being a judge, I can make anyone that is real serious about smoking and judging a judge, then you will have influence on next years choice...
I mean to be honest I prefer dry sift, not water hash, but almost all the entries were water hash, not dry sift, so I voted for "surprise", it was great, but sticky as hell, it was brought to the dinner still frozen on ice, to make handling easier, it was almost like oil, but just wet resin from wet plants never dried.
I hope to see you there next year, try and bring an entry....

Not many, less then 20. We gave the remainders of the 5 gram samples back to the people that entered after judging, to be smoked by all...

Only sounds strange cause you weren't there....
I was and let me tell you the hash that won.. deserved to win.. For taste... for potency for shear beauty.
It was extremly fresh.. terpene content was excellent.. the grab you by the nuts.... after the hit experience was in full throttle.. and bottom line i smoked all the entries back to back.. and it pretty much was a no brainer as to which one i chose.
Keep in mind sam's dry sift would have slaughtered all and any entrance's.. Tons of so called high grade bubble and hash were present.. but when it comes to the hard core smokers.. that hash quickly falls by the wayside.. and only the top nothc( not a spelling error hehehe) held up.
We are judging what we who are at the party find to be the most excellent smoke of the nite.
Not about where its from or how long it cured for or how many years it was buried for ( vintage dry sift has been at the hashparty 12years old i believe), but How it makes you feel after a hit.
Dont feel to bad mrriko i think we did use some afghanie hash as our base again this year for burning half grams of sam's pure heady dry sift on in the hubbly bubbly pipe...

Thanks again everyone who showed up... GREAT NITE.

Peace
Bubble man
