see? i guess everyone should seek counseling! having a real problem with humanity makes my stupid psuedocheating seem very trivial and silly... and yes, its embarrassing, that's one of the reasons i'm posting this! to be honest, i think my girl is going a little easy on me

and yeah, you are right also, i need to let my actions prove myself now. i can talk and promise and swear and argue till i'm blue in the face, but that doesn't change anything!

i wouldn't say i have a problem with humanity, i just don't have a big compassionate heart for strangers.

i do volunteer though, like visiting elderly in nursing homes and hospice and doing summer camp counseling work for kids with muscular dystrophy.

but as far as just someone down & out... could care less. they'll bounce back. or they won't. not my problem, because my problems aren't theirs either.

feyd, do you believe that volunteering is like a subconscious way of you making up for "lack of compassion"? because i dont want to make it seem like i'm just "making up for what i did" with her, ya know? i want it to be genuine... i don't know, she says that i'm showing no remorse and that i'm being "too cool" about all of this, which i thought would be the best way to handle it...i think she just expects me to deny the shit out of it and manipulate the argument and throw it back in her face, but what good does that do?

nah i don't, i just see it as an opportunity to make some kid happy or make an impression in someone's life, people die in hospice and nursing homes... i don't really grieve over stuff like that.

i don't think things really affect me all that much.
