The benefit of all the other sutras is uncertain, because they teach that one
must first make good causes and only then can one become a Buddha at some later
time. With regard to the Lotus Sutra, when one's hand takes it up, that hand
immediately attains Buddhahood, and when one's mouth chants it, that mouth is
itself a Buddha, as, for example, the moon is reflected in the water the moment
it appears from behind the eastern mountains, or as a sound and it's echo arise
simultaneously.

Please steadily advance along the fundamental path of "faith manifests itself in
daily life," living in the way that best suits you. Just as the sun rises every
day, if you persistently advance based on the Mystic Law, the absolute Law of
the universe, you will definitely be able to lead a life in which all desires
are fulfilled, a life that you cannot now even conceive of. Please be convinced
that you are now leading the most certain and valuable life.

Thus it seemed that I could not possibly escape with my life. Whatever the
design of the heavenly gods in the matter may have been, every single steward
and Nembutsu believer worthy of the name kept strict watch on my hut day and
night, determined to prevent anyone from communicating with me. Never in any
lifetime will I forget how in those circumstance you, with Abutsu-bo carrying a
wooden container of food on his back, came in the night again and again to bring
me aid.

When we speak of showing actual proof, it doesn't mean we have to try to put on
a show of being in any way more knowledgeable or accomplished than we are. It is
my hope that, in the manner that best suits your situation, you will prove the
validity of this Buddhism by steadily improving in your daily life and in
polishing your character, as well as in your family, place of work and
community.

"If you don't strive earnestly now, you'll end up filled with regret later. You will be the one to lose out. On the other hand, every effort you make for the sake of kosen-rufu will return to you as benefit.

"Those who dedicate their lives to the Mystic Law can accumulate eternal good fortune and gain everlasting strength and treasures. Therefore, please persevere tenaciously when the going gets tough. Keep fighting your hardest."

"My mentor, second Soka Gakkai president Josei Toda, said: 'Chant about anything you like, freely and without constraint. The stronger your prayers for kosen-rufu the better. Even if you're deadlocked, that's precisely the time you can reveal your true strength and potential.'"

Thanks Socal!

Thanks Socal!

Last month of class for the year and boy am I getting hit hard at work and school. Great posts T, thanks for the encouragement. Let's finish this year up strong. For the members I'm really looking forward to the commemorative meetings this week (or month for everyone else)! I think yesterday was Soka Gakkai Day (the founding of the SGI) and I'm very pleased to be a part of such a great worldwide movement.

ALL my best to everyone throughout ICMAG and a big hug to all the chanting growers!

After two weeks of intense focus on study, I have been battling spider mites all week! Sorry for the sketchy posts! Little by little I am regaining a foothold on those little monsters! Like the challenges of our lives they just keep coming and if your relax for even a moment they can overpower you!

You are all in my prayers every day!

Much love and deepest respect,

"Mr. Toda said: 'Just decide with all the resolve you can muster that you refuse to be defeated, and do your best. With faith in the Daishonin's Buddhism, you can transform anything into benefit, and be able to tap unlimited good fortune. If you triumph in the end, then all your past struggles will turn into fond memories.'

"In the harshest time of winter in my life, when my mentor's businesses were failing, I stood up alone. I chanted with a fervent vow to turn winter into spring. I struggled tirelessly, and I won.

"What is the essence or ultimate purpose of Buddhist study in the SGI? It is to be able to establish clear actual proof of victory in our lives through internalising the Daishonin's teaching that 'winter always turns to spring' together with our mentor."

Hahahaha i just read your post to my girl and we both laughed! Those lil fuckers are sooo annoying. We've battled them inside and outside, with foggers, with neem oils, daimoku, nematodes, floramite sc (worked for roses not for cannabis), lady bugs, everything! Dunking the younger clones in ice water and then washing them under a strong stream of water works well. Then again, the only way I ever got rid of them was just scrapping the grow, and shutting off the AC in the room for a long time and letting the room cook then disinfecting and starting again. However, outside they are even stronger and mutate. We've even lost various roses as well from those fuckers.

Challenges make the fruit even sweeter in my humble opinion and nothing tastes better than your own homegrown results! If anyone can make this outcome victorious I know it is you! Make it happen brother! Keep those assholes at bay and knock them the fuck out!

Let's make sure to praise each other's earnest and respectworthy efforts, and together, let's continue to advance by encouraging one another! To feel that we can trust and be on good terms with each other is an important part of us all becoming happy and victorious.

ROLL CALL!

ROLL CALL!

Grrreat meeting today in my neck of the woods. I brought a guest and two friends that I have helped receive Gohonzon to a great meeting today in the country. We had a grrreat time!

How are the Buddhist Meetings Going in your neck of the woods/mountains/city/beach/desert? If no meetings are going on, perhaps you could support kosen-rufu in a more creative capacity! Please advise.....
