Yeah. Except the goo. I will never grow that shit again. way underperformed expectations. nugs turned out thin. Boo for the goo. Its stoney as fuck, though. I will keep it around for purely medicinal purposes since I really get no extreme joy from its smell or taste. Maybe I just didn't get its feeding right or something. Takes a long time to trim too because of the way the small leaves pste themselves against the buds. It was a baptism by fire for the trimmers. Very slow going for their first strain ever trimmed in these kinds of quantity. But now they have moved on to the AfPak... it finished much nicer in the full season garden than it did in the black box... its was too dense- almost white on the inside... its perfect now. Has some taste and olfactory qualities in common with Bubba Kush. The high is like a freight train... First its a like a sheet of flat cool glass is being pressed against the backs of your eyeballs... very gently. This is the dual pain relief/insomnia meds. I can barely keep my eyes open right now. Green smack.

wow soon man very soon looking great btw out standing...
so I do have one question.. I'm a indoor guy. so the clack thing is this like a fabric ring its not a pot correct? What do you do under the plant do you just let it grow down into the earth? or do you dig a hole and if so how deep?

thanks in advance

Its a smartpot. www.smartpots.com. its has a bottom, but roots sort of explode and very fine ones go thru and into the ground. i am thinking about puttung this year's dirt in holes under next year's pots.

soon is right. I was going to take everything down on Sunday, but they have canceled mondays rain...lol... how nice of "them"... so who knows. The Blue Dream is coming down tomorrow, but the chems I'll probably let go into next week so long as there is no more rain.

Still looking beautiful nomaad. How are the temps holding up in your area? Night temps not threatening yet?

nah. looking good. made it thru a frost a few weeks back with flying colors. I took down the GDP a little early because of mold, but she showed a predisposition to mold in the black box. can't take the humidity. I am more worried about the humidity...

But the dew point temp is still 6-8 degrees different thru the night... if the plants are dry in the evening, they get dewey in the aerly morning and dry off pretty quick.

The smell out there is insane. Its OGK vs SourD vs Headband vs Trainwreck... PEEE-EW.

Thanks... it has been a good one. Yesterday, the last plant came down. The Trainwreck was starting to mold... lost a couple of very fat tops... It could have gone another week, perhaps even 10 days... but alas, it was not to be.

Yields are a little lower than people led me to believe I would be seeing... but I'm not complaining. I never was one to buy into other people's predictions, so I am not disappointed. Total yield for the season including the black box is close to 60lbs. Nothing to sneeze at for a first timer.

The best yielders were the Blue Dream at very very close to 5lbs, Clueberry at 4lbs and one of the Bubbas came in at 3.25 lbs. edit: The OGKush also came in at 3.5... big surprise today.

The Goo was a huge disappointemnt in terms of yield as well as the bud itself. I will never grow it again. I got 3 off the biggest plant but only about 1.5 off the smallest. I guess its nothing to complain about, but the smoke itself is kinda lame. I will not be messing with her again.

All in all for a first time grow, I am feeling very good. My feeling is that next year's smallest plant will be something like this year's largest. With plant limits being struck down by the California Supreme court, I am considering a sea of green run for next year's black box rather than keeping it to 18 plants. I'm also going to run at least 6 more in the full season in 100 or 200 gallon pots. Obviously, I am not making any changes in the paradigm until the court's decision shakes out and we get an idea of how LEO is going to "adapt" enforcement. "Compliance checks" and being in compliance has been a workable compromise between grower and LEO... We'll see how that paradigm changes.

I'm also going to be making some changes to my soil mix and I'm going to pre-ammend as per Tom Hill's paradigm and not feed until flower.

I am looking forward to a bit of a vacation now... I am vegging a round of ClueBerry, Blue Dream, OGKush (3 cuts from 3 great sources) and the Cough and I will hopefully begin that run sometime in February. I'll be starting a thread in the Greenhouse forum.

I have to say a huge thank you to the ICMag community. I have not only made some great friends, but it has been an essential part of this process for me. A great place to rant and rave and bounce ideas around. I feel like I have really found my niche as a ganja grower and hope that my contribution to the community has been a positive one that others can learn from.

I'm not big on hallmark/americana holidays with silly fairy tales behind them (like the pilgrims sitting down with their buddies, the indians) but the reality of thanksgiving is that its a harvest festival and we give thanks for the bounty that will see us through the winter. This will truly be a special Thanksgiving Harvest feast!!
