Well if health care didn't pass I would have had to move to Canada or lose my home so I'm pretty happy about it.

how so?
why are you unable to get health coverage?

also, the bill still has to pass the Senate.
so you might still have to move to canada

I don't think it gets through the Senate. 220-215 in the House. That's real close. The Senate is quite a bit more conservative.

I can't keep paying for my utilities and my pills and I'm unable to get health coverage due to pre existing conditions. You're right, I suppose I'm counting my chickens before they hatch.

WHO are they trying to fool..lol
their rankings system is designed in a way that favors greater government involvement.
..at least some personal freedom to seekout the best health care and treatments (medical marijuana)available, and is not yet relegated to the one size fits all youll take what we give you philosophy of government sponsored health care systems.:2cents:

Its terrible news.
This has been reported to cost taxpayers 1.2 Trillion a year.
The USA currently collects 2 Trillion a year. So thats about 50% increase in taxes.
And you can expect initial government numbers to increase.

With that said, we need health care reform, but this plan is ludicrous and unconstitutional.

Not only will it bankrupt a lot/most private insurance companies, the burden of ones health shouldn't be solely put on society.

Anyways, when I think of the government running a program, I think of MediCare, Social Security, DMV..

All government health programs have long waits for care.

Canada actually has businesses to set Candadian residents up with US doctors so they can get health care sooner then four or five months.

Did someone say World Health Organization?Do you think for a second the U.S will receive any kind of positive results from "studies" done by the WHO??No the UN is in the business of making the U.S and Israel look like the evil ones in the world.Period.I wouldn't take a UN studies result to heart you might say..

Obama whaa whaa whine whine whine.

The reason that nothing will come of such hard efforts to give us a better system is the fact that too many Americans don't want change.

They truly believe we were better off all forty some presidents before this one and now it's all gone to shit in less than a term.

Stay with your head in the sand and your lock on your wallet. Things will turn around in no time.

Sativa Grows: I'm coming with you! This country isn't what it was or should be. Current voters considered, it'll only get worse. Bring on the maple syrup!

Very happy. The "free market" (which usually means the opposite of what it implies) doesn't need to run every aspect of this country. The current system is an absolute predatory disaster. Most of the people who have been financially ruined via health problems had health insurance. It's essentially a socialist scam under the guise of capitalism right now anyway, with the subsidies going to the corporations. Federal oversight will undoubtedly result in a not-so-efficient model, but it's a step in the right direction. I'd rather see my taxes being used not so efficiently but ultimately helping the working poor, than being used to help out in the big conglomerates with the best lobbyists.

I would suggest watching "Fall of the Republic". The whole thing is on youtube.

I want healthcare...I wish it would be more simple. Either way....this shit of letting poor people die is sickening. You have to be a welfare mom, disabled or have health insurance to count in this country. Ironic that the people who pay a big leg of our taxes are losing their health insurance left and right and keep paying for the trash in this country.

Let's reform welfare a little. I'm sick of seeing so many welfare moms get their cars fixed, food stamps, housing improvements. Just so they can sit on their asses. That is a HUGE problem in this country.

It's funny-it's socialism this, big spending liberal that.

Yet the high estimate for healthcare proposals is 80 billion a year, and we just pased a 680 billion dollar defense budget
. I had to dig it up on cspan to find it. It was a non-issue. Nobody wants to be "soft on defense," so the military can spend 30 trillion on baby-raping/quasi tank/polio-throwing flame missels that can reach China in 3.8 seconds without a word.

God Bless America.
