here's a better one...with flash so it's the proper color.

Don't get the thing mixed up. I didn't have any mold issues while growing, just when curing in the jar. It was an indoor Pineapple Punch.

I'm not convinced thats mold ....got a scope?

are there bigger patches like this on the others? if you pull at it with tweasers is it all cotton wool like?... it could be the light, but I would've expected it to be a brighter white... how do the stems look? and what does the inside of that bud look if you broke it clean in half?

dude get a scope and check that out.
i nearly threw away ALL of my last harvest because i thought it was moldy. turned out it was just massive crystellage and plant hairs.

i know molds a bitch. but mold paranoia is a bitch too ;)

if its really mold then you can smell it and the moldy areas will spread out on the buds. so double check before you throw that shit away.

if its mold tho, not much you can do then throw it away.

Unfortunately I can't get my hands on a scope so fast... I will try to find one though.

can't the black spots be anything else? are you 100% sure or 90% sure it's mold?

This is another one of those weird too white spots...this one seems to be trichs for sure though...

oh

jeez

i feel really bad for you. salvage what you can and get in another harvest my friend.

EDIT: ok i just looked at the pics and i see no mold really. i've seen white looking mold before and it's pretty easy to spot. that looked like whiteness on the buds, un mold related. keep looking for opinions though.

Looks like a mass of trichs to me. When i had mold issues it was much more visible and looked like cobwebs around the buds, at first i thought i had let a spider in the jar until i smelt a foul stench.

yes, mold will have a weird smell to it. When the plant dries it decreses in size and lets all of its moisture go. This will cause areas of trichomes to become compressed together and will create a "white" looking mass. I would let it air out and see what happens. I'm sure you'll be able to tell if it's mold or not

You know wot they say, you learn from your mistakes. So if it is mold, you know to dry for longer before jarring next time

I had to harvest a sensi star crop at 4 weeks flower due to root rot, which in turn made the buds rotten.

And after letting them set in the jar it was all moldy and nasty smelling but....

it really packed a punch, I was surprised. We called it sock weed because of the taste :biglaugh:

Your stuff doesn't even look moldy to me, I'd say smoke it for sure.

yeah man bud mold is almost like cotton..it's really weird. I think if you really feel it's mold, take the affected buds and isolate them from the other stuff. Someone should have some good mold pics...i don't have any...anyone?

PS how sick would you get/have people gotten from smoking affected buds through a bong?

I always bin anything with the slightest touch of mould, it's like sleepy says very dangerous to your health.

Why are so many people telling the OP to hash or bho his mouldy bud, i was always under the impression that mould spores are tiny little things and iso or bho methods do not remove the spores.

Am i correct in think that or have i been misinformed??
