Two things to note; First difference between on-line & live play, very different.. Second difference Tournament play versus cash games, also very different... Same Games different objectives.

not such a good site considering the absolute scandal (potripper) and them paying hellmuth a pot he didnt win (yeah a glitch that just happened to happen in a high stakes game with their star player lol)

its not like they stole 85 million dollars from their users (oh wait yes they did...)

better to stick with stars imo

how this site is still up and why people play there is beyond me
over 4 years of cheating and ub gets a 1.5 million dollar fine and gets to keep their license lol wtf

The original plan, back about 1982, was to pay for my smoke. That worked so well it was a great motivation to play well, later I decided the money was fun also. Strange how things work.

I gave up playing since we recently moved into a new area. Over here the games are hard to get in without knowing the right people. 1k buy ins are pretty common, but there is this one game I would kill to get into. Some exNFL football player and a few of his buddies throw a 5k high low stud weekly or biweekly. I've been trying campaign myself but I can't find the in.

We used to run a game out of dorm room 6 nights a week in my freshman year. I really enjoyed it.

i have gotten back into it over the last couple of years... hoping to get a regular game going over the winter. Anybody in the 707 that's looking for a regular game or knows of a seat at one? I very much like hold-em, but I guess I would play any kind of real poker.

well damn, i made a thread like a year or two ago asking you fools if you played poker and it was a ghost town!

I play in real life as much as i can, but i mostly play fulltilt

but every once in a while i'll be crackin skulls at the mountaineer

My mom LOVES poker, online she usually plays PokerStars and Fulltilt. I play a little too but honestly I'm not a big fan of 'online' poker. I prefer the real deal, its an entirely different game.

you gotta multitable online, but that is why it is better in alot of ways

hands per hour cannot be beat even by the softest game

yeah... i am a damn good reader. NYC bullshit detection in full effect. Online is better if your strong point is on-the-spot odds calculations. I don't really get into the online so much. I also miss the cross table smack-talk, psyche outs etc.

It is unrealistic to make a full time living on online poker? I have been looking and reading and trying yo get some feedback. Does anyone here actually do this thing for a living? Is this a crazy idea? There is a sea of money out there in the online poker world . How do you go out and grab it?
