If this is to be a serious project then you need to decide

Method of construction
I suggest, once you've dig the hole/tunnel/accesspoint, that you raise the actual 'growcave' with timber and board and leave the area underneath as a sump area for if/when rain/snow gets in there...water runs downward man...
digging out the bottom and backfilling with coarse gravel would give you some leeway with drainage during ...inclement weather :)
Will you be venting directly to the surface? or perhaps by pipe to another 'Cave' and then to the surface?
Will you need 2 chambers? 1 to grow in and 1 as an air/light lock so you can open when lights are on and do you biz. with the girls?

Gravel pit for drainage...spray the chest freezer to rustproof it...perhaps coat it in that liquid rubber stuff...vent through the lid of the freezer...light/s on a removeable frame to access plants below...a custom made Plug/Pot to sit on the lid of the freezer with local plants growing in it...pull the 'plug' to access the freezer...

Build a small wooden deck that is hinged?
Raise the deck platform, enter/exit, set up the BBQ and enjoy :joint:

now now ppl lets give him support he needs to make this happen, if he got ball of steel and can take a chances of being caught then be it ...lol , we want a show!! j/k
Get the build started with the box and where everything is going to be in place, make it so you can take it apart for easy stealth installation. in my opinion you should make an outside retaining wall around the box and between the wall and box have insulation to help keep the condensation out in the morning time . use a solar panel two batteries so you can at least run ventilation:2cents:

If you build a concrete plinth for a BBQ and have power run out to it, you would have a reason to get an electrician put it in for you.
Then replace it with an access plinth and splice the power off to ya growcave!

take the outlet cover off and hook it up direct and run the wire inside pvc or electric enclose tube along the wall underground to the box:2cents:

Uh .... no, he needs no such thing. It's a dangerously stupid idea and we should be doing everything we can to dissuade him.

Dude, rob a bank, steal a car, throw a rock through the mayors window ... there are easier, safer ways to be arrested.
