Hey disfunktional

Got my hands on freezer with similar dimensions to your fridge, and im busting my head to figure out how to divide it to accommodate veg, flower and maybe even utility chamber.
I wanna see some updates with pictures so i can rip off your ideas :)

Stay green!

lol bro i hope the ventiolation idea i posted on your thread wasnt to confuseing. if it was let me know and il try and walk you through it. unfortunately my build is a bit slow but feel free to "rip off" as many of my ideas man i dont see it as ripping off. since my build is so slow i have so many different ideas running through my head. so if you wana pick my brain feel free with that also. i cant garauntee that they will be worth a damn lol
peace

in cabs like this what I have found to work good for ventilation is a slim duct running the legenth of the cab. this way you can cut into it where ever you need and have an exhaust port. and with a bathroom vent fan it only needs to be about an inch and a half deep.

hey man
Wow, im buzzed right now...
Anyway, im not really understanding anything you wrote in my thread about ventilation, but im gonna re-read it tomorrow when i get sober again lol :bashhead:
Oh, and as far as wild ideas running through your head... i can relate to that... my brain has gone crazy last few days pondering about possibilities.
The problem is, once u make bunch of holes in that thing, there's no turning back! :(
Enough babbling im off... :abduct:

hey Maxsuzuki500 the duct is you're talkn about is like what i was talking about but i was not aware of the bathroom vent keeping the size down to an inch and a half. thanx for the info bro

wow, great thread, serioulsy some stuff to ponder with here
thanx boggah and thanx for stopping in

lol ya its a bit confuseing

thanx bro!! i was checking out Aeroheads new wine fidge build and he peaked m interest when he mentioned that he might use a 250w light. the reason it peaked my interest is because i already have a 250w digi on hand. idk know just some more indecisiveness again. would i gain any from useing the 250w? or should i just stick with the 150w?

Man, a 250 would rock da house. Or in this case, the fridge. IMO, you could get enough air flow to keep canopy temps in check. I've never used a 250 so I don't know how close the canopy can get to the lamp w/o problems. I know you can get within 2 inches or less with a 150 and good canopy level air circulation.

Freezerboy would be a good one to ask. I think he has a 250 in his freezer. It may be a CMH but I'm sure he'd have an educated opinion on your particular setup. Good luck.

according to the grainger cfm/ temp chart i should be fine. i have a dayton 180 cfm squirrel cage fan thats never been used. the question is just how close can i get to the canopy with out cooking the girls? i think il have too many watts per square inch tho. il only have 2.0625 square feet which will end up being 121.21 watts per square feet. is that not too much?

Since you already have the 250 ballast, give it a try. If you end up having to use a 150, you're only out the price of a 250 bulb. You've always got the 250 ballast and bulb if you decide to expand in the future.

A 150 will give you close to 75wpsf. That's pretty bright as 50wpsf is commonly used as a threshold. The 150 will only give you about 12" penetration and the 250 will give 18, maybe a little more. Hope this helps.

EDIT: You might want to include the fan in your lamp considerations. Fans are bulky, configured differently and may pose installation difficulties. Wait a minute, I forgot you're pretty good at planning everything in advance. You could get a fan rated for a 250 and a speed controller might help if you have to go 150. Just my 2c.

lol idk if im good at planning i may over plan if anything. i think that i may hold off on the 250 tho. iv got another build in mind for it. a large closet organizer that i plan on turning into a complete setup, mom/ clone, flower, and utilities. but thats a thread for another thread. i will stick with my plans of useing the 150, iv been to indecisive already, and im going to try an adjustable rail slide for the light. just another toy for me to play with. but i will stick with the 180 cfm fan because im thinking of useing a radiator, for cooloing the sump, as part of the intake and im not exactly sure how much

oops sorrry not exactly sure how much the radiator will bgo down the fan. Aerohead had said that putting the radiator in the intake would raise the temps on the canopy. but i think i maybe able to get around that with the high cfm and puting the radiator at the bottom so that the fresh air coming in above it will mix and keep the temps down. idk if this will work im just guesin at this point. any thoughts or opinions would be apreciated.

Sounds good. BTW, I meant to type "fan" not lamp in the EDIT, lol. Based on my utility dimensions, I should have gone with an inline type. Instead I bought a blower with right angle mount because it's a little less noise. This forces me to use a micro scrubber instead of a properly sized one.

A light rail and a radiator? Sounds like you work for NASA, jk:D. This thread is already very interesting, will love seeing the high tech stuff you install.

the fan i have is also a right angle mount. the scrubber is going to be almost the same size as the floor of the utility room and about 1 1/2" to 2"s thick. the reason that its almost the same size is because it will be located between the ceiling of the flower cab and the floor of the utility cab. im hopeing that this design will create a rather large surface area for the scrubber. im a lil worried tho about the light being directly under it. idk if that will affect it or not. and NASA wouldnt take me i couldnt pass their damn piss test lol.

good news i ordered the 150w HPS digi ballast should hopefully be here by next weekend. which is when i will get to work on the fridge, with any luck, and make some much needed progress.
