How to mix perlite in soil

I just bought some perlite, wanted to mix in some for some soil I just bought to plant seeds in (not so rich in nutrients), does anyone know how much perlite should be mixed for 20l of soil? Got a 10l bag of perlite. Advice would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks

Depends on the soil and whether or not if it already has perlite in it.

A safe soil:perlite ratio is 2 parts soil: 1 part perlite

thank you very much :D no the soil does not have perlite, I thought it would be better to add some
Peace

Absoutely, if the soil does not contain any soil, try mixing them in the 2:1 ratio like I mentioned. After mixing, grab a handful and squeeze it. If the soil breaks up easily after squeezing it, I'd say you have enough perlite, but if the soil still feels hard and won't break up (like clay), add more perlite, maybe even 1:1.

Hope that helps

perfect composition (2:1) my double kush has popped and so has my sugarees will be planting those tomorrow. Durban poison still gotta pop

I replaced my perlite with coco coir. If you cannot do that for some reason, the 2:1 ratio is pretty good advice. Since you already have it you might as well use it for now. Pumice is another alternative worth investigating. Lots of options really.
