Swamp or Goat, can you give us a taste description on the So Cal Master Kush? You told me you love the taste Swamp, but I don't think you said what it's like.

Uuhhmm. It's kushy. Like bubba. Exactly like bubba. The smell of the smoke is piney. She has a piney background in the flavor as well. I personally think the MK has a little more intense flavor, while the bubba is a little more potent. Just a little. I have two in bloom and both are going deep purple now. They are on about day 53. I am going to start a little flush on em soon.





I have been tinkering with FoxFarm's Open Seasame, Beastie Blooms and Cha-Ching. I figured Chem would be the perfect plant to play with mineral nutes for the first time. So far I am having amazing results with rainwater and light doses along with FF Tiger Bloom. So far I have noticed no difference in flavor or quality from my usual organic regimen. Just slightly higher yields. I am pretty much sold on the stuff now.

Cellar, wow! Is that BHO? In all the time I've been doing this, I've never made BHO or ISO. I've never even looked into it. It's always kinda scared me using butane and alcohol. I'm sure if you do it right it's fine. I'll have to check it out after seeing that. Looks pretty sweet. Like a big glob of honey. It actually reminded me of a box of honey nut cherios,lol.


Peat, from the pic it looks like you root clones in peat pots. I usually use rockwool starter cubes, but would like to switch to peat pots. Can you give me a quick rundown on your process. I usually soak my cubes in a diluted flower solution or clone starter, then dip in rooting hormone, then into cubes. I use a dome on top with holes for air and spray once a day with same solution.

MeltingPot, some mean looking buds bro. Looks really good. I love the light and dark contrasts on the Chem4.

I've been getting 100%. But, it's slow.
My last cuts took 4-5 weeks to root...way too long

Cellar & Dr. Dog helped me out with some friendly advice.
After some fumbling around, this one rooted in 12 days!

I soak my pellet for a few hrs - overnight.
(Peat is hydrophobic) (But, my cannabis is better than therapy)
My tap water is dirty. So, I use 50% RO / 50% tap. (pHed to 6.8)
I use powder hormone (w/ fungicide)
I use a heat mat w/ thermostat set on about 79F.

This time, after some coaching, I kept them under a dome.
My dome doesn't sit flush (= vented).
But, it was dome enough to gather a little condensation / increase the humidity inside.
&, it kept the pellets from drying out.

No spraying.

Peat, thanks for the quick response. My dome has adjustable vents, so I usually just open them a crack, pretty much the same amount of air as yours I'd guess. i also use powder rooting hormone. I've had NO success with the gels, even though everyone raves about them. I go back to powder, and it's close to 100%. I just bought a heat mat, so I'll have to try that. I did get the thermostat as well. I'm guessing you just sit the tray right on top of the heat mat?

Nah. I just put them straight on the mat.

My tray doesn't lay real flat.
It seems to put too much distance between the cuttings and the heat.

I've got a little aquarium thermometer beside my thermostat probe, to double check the temp.
