Can you just pay a fee and say you have chronic pain to get your card? Seems like you can with certain doctors. I'm liking it here in CO I may just stay Wish I had brought my bud with me though...
If the goal is to get an mmj card without actually suffering from an mmj-approved list of ailments, then in a sense, yes, but you can't just go into the doc's office and say "hey doc, I have chronic pain, please recommend mmj". You have to be more sincere than that because the doctor's job is to gather symptoms, then document said symptoms in order to cover their ass. Where is the pain? Is it a sharp and acute pain, or dull and sore? How long and how often do you experience it? Just be able to field these kinds of questions. BUT... if you already have some kind of medical record stating you have had some sort of issue that can cause ongoing pain (a broken bone in the past would do), then you won't have to field hardly any questions at all.
Chronic Pain is by far the VAST majority of ailment for which CO patients are registrating. The average age of patients is very quickly dropping. Dropping so fast, that some state officials are raising their eyebrows now at the scene. Soon it's gonna become a lot harder to get a card, so get it asap.
