Can you just pay a fee and say you have chronic pain to get your card? Seems like you can with certain doctors. I'm liking it here in CO I may just stay :joint: Wish I had brought my bud with me though... :wallbash:

If the goal is to get an mmj card without actually suffering from an mmj-approved list of ailments, then in a sense, yes, but you can't just go into the doc's office and say "hey doc, I have chronic pain, please recommend mmj". You have to be more sincere than that because the doctor's job is to gather symptoms, then document said symptoms in order to cover their ass. Where is the pain? Is it a sharp and acute pain, or dull and sore? How long and how often do you experience it? Just be able to field these kinds of questions. BUT... if you already have some kind of medical record stating you have had some sort of issue that can cause ongoing pain (a broken bone in the past would do), then you won't have to field hardly any questions at all.

Chronic Pain is by far the VAST majority of ailment for which CO patients are registrating. The average age of patients is very quickly dropping. Dropping so fast, that some state officials are raising their eyebrows now at the scene. Soon it's gonna become a lot harder to get a card, so get it asap.

2010 Breeders Bowl - Colorado

2010 Breeders Bowl - Colorado

This is worth sharing as well

"The owners of The Healing Center, Jesse Irizarry and Deborah Schultz, are excited to announce a new MMJ Colorado event. The Breeder’s Bowl will be an annual spring competition for the legally registered medical marijuana patients and caregivers in the state of Colorado. Our first annual competition will be held in June 2010.

This competition will be for those patients and caregivers in Colorado who are creating new medicines for our community, by crossing existing strains and developing new ones. In addition to the competition, this event will also provide legal and medical information that is open to the public, entertainment, a ticketed dinner banquet, and a weekend of fun.

In order to keep this event at a minimal cost to the attendees, The Healing Center will be holding various fundraisers over the next year. Our first fundraiser is to be held in August 2009. The event is a comedy night, with a silent auction and a tricky tray raffle. Now, we know you are asking, “What’s a tricky tray raffle?” Each item to be raffled will be a themed tray of goodies. Some examples are: coffee tray, dinner night for two, an evening at the movies, and the list goes on…

We are asking for donations of cash or items for the silent auction and the tricky tray raffle. We will also be happy to build a tray from any item or service you are able donate. Let your imagination run wild!

If you are interested in making a donation, please contact The Healing Center at 303-412-0200.
We appreciate your continued support!

Sincerely,
Jesse & Deborah
The Healing Center"

Green Mountain UPDATE!

Green Mountain UPDATE!

So let em explain my situation. About 3 wks ago I called Green Moutnain to secure an appointment to see the doc. I had talked with Howard ( which I now know is one of the owners) He put me on the schedule for Wednesday Sept 16th at 6:30pm. So I show up at about 6pm Sept 16th. When I walk in the guy asks me if Ive ever been here and I state no Im hear for a doc visit. He then proceeds to tell me there are no doc visits on wednesday. I say I have an appointment and he say no I dont..and they haven't been seeing people on Wednesday for sometime. After about 5 min of trying to convince him I should be on the schedule he say sorry your not and closes the door. See this wouldn't be a big deal but Im currently In the process of moving to CO and was only in town till yesterday Sept 19th. So this little snafu really fuked up my plans to get my permit while in town. The guy I talked to really didnt offer me any help. He didnt even see if he could schedule me for another day that wk. Just said sorry and closed the door.

So I PM'ed GreenMTn on here wednesday night sept 16th with my issue. Figuring Mike or someone would handle the problem and schedule me a spot and we'd be good to go. It is Sunday Sept 20th and nothing so far. I'm hoping this post will inform others and illicit a response from GreenMtn.

Yep, I would recommend Dr, Clemmer highly (no pun intended ;) ), not only will he do that, but he is amazing at adjusting backs. I've grown 2 inches in the time I've been seeing him, as he's adjusted my back and it's straightened up. REALLY nice guy too, I send anyone I know directly to him. I didn't know he's doing it under the Medical Marijuana Foundation, thats awesome!

Keven R. Clemmer, D.O.
Medical Marijuana Foundation

$180 (not including $90 state fee)

Do these places take you if you don't have records? Btw thanks for the helping hand guys. Im not really the complaining type. But that experience rubbed me a little wrong. Maybe it has something to do with mercury being retrograde:) LOL

Wow, Colorado seems worse than california did back in 2000. All these strains I am hearing arent even elite strains. I couldnt even get past the first page of this forum without being appalled!

there seems to be a lack of "kind bud' at dispensaries in CO, i haven't even touched anyting remotely killer since being a mmj holder. That said, Iam glad there are dispensaries available.. If i was told i had an appnmt and went just to be made a fool I would never go back.
