hey mossy i luv autos
Never..I thought you were an AF hater.
Most of the AF I have worked with have Low to med grow smell...
it is part of the attraction.
The first time I hit a Bought Stinker was AK-47..
first time in mine was a blue mystic af..very black bud..you knew she would stink as soon as you looked at her...
The rest are med to low.
Except if you like to give them a sugary feed such as molasses..
That does tend to increase their smell to stink monster status.

Oops I goofed. I admit I'm stupid.
Nah..better for me..if it about the same..means it has more chance of being Similar..more chance of good/relevant info available..:yeahthats

The accelerated budding pheno was a bit of a Bonus..
we had done a hell of a lot of work on the ALF#3..and the DC..
But hours of homework did Not warn us to Expect her.
She was one of mother natures little surprises.

Guerilla Gold is great breeding material. I crossed some regular (long season) plants with some guerilla gold pollen and the 'earliness' carried through on most of the offspring.

I just pollinated some mossy's jem with guerilla gold pollen so hopefully I'll end up with some seeds to play with when the plants come down.

This is one of the other directions that I was wanting to take the project that inspired the original post. Obviously breeding the fastest autos in a group will get results but then by the same token one should also try introducing a very speedy non auto to see if you can produce some additional speed.

For the moment I am sticking with comparatively small plants for the attempts at speeding things up. The majority of the space is given over to helping some folks with chronic pain issues. Soon as that is sorted I will be joining you in using some fast nonauto pollen on fast autos.

Here's some notes I saved. Can't remember where the post came from. Most likely unleashthegreen.
1.GG does not only flower based on the photoperiod. GG is a semi-autoflowering strain. Many of them WILL flower under 24 hours of light, but it often takes 8 weeks of veg or more before that happens. Under 18/6 (still considered vegetative cycle), almost every single plant will flower once they are older than 8 weeks old. So with GG, the flowering time is based both on the age/maturity of the plant and also the amount of darkness it receives each night.
2.Finish times-GG#2 would be mid august, GG#5 3rd week of August and GG#3 end of August. Should be something like that anyway. Most should stay under 4 feet tall, except the more sativa pheno of GG#5 which can go to about 5 feet.
3.Most normal strains crossed with GG will finish several weeks earlier. I've seen a thread that gave a number but I can't remember it. Maybe 2 to 3 weeks earlier.
4. A picture. GG#2-I believe from Greens. I hope he doesn't mind me posting.

Be back later for talk..but guess what I hit my First semi-auto's with...

You know that some varieties that are pretty confirmed for outdoor cultivation like Outsider or Purple Power (to name 2 that i know very well) have a very early triggering to flower around end of july/begin of august that allow to harvest around 20/30 september..

Outsider and Purplesider..two specially bred Fast Harvesting long-season girls..
better get these out to play with HUH...!

IMO..Yes..thought it was just my conditions..but I have seen it in other threads too.
Sniff 24 hours after a sugary feed.

The yield per time on some these is really impressive. If you grow a regular long season plant think about the amount of time for something to go wrong. I'm still Ga-Ga over Mossy's Monster.
Has anybody paid attention on the root size per yield? Do autos need a proportionally larger root system in comparison to a normal long season plant?
