Neon, your girls are looking really sweet! I think you will have some nice flowers in a few weeks. I would have to say your grow is one of the most informative and top-quality outdoor grows I have come across on this site. Thanks for the inspiration bro, keep up the good work.

Hey sack bro,

Thanks for the kind words one again.

Yeah, I'm impressed with the way things have gone so far, and that at least one Trainwreck has managed to keep pace with the BF and Task. Those two will easily be the biggest flowering females I've ever had, and it's looking like TW #2 won't be too far behind. :yoinks:

Thanks Hazy. Just giving back to the community that has given so much to me over the years in terms of knowledge and inspiration. Hopefully yourself and others can learn from the mistakes I have made along the way.

It's nice to know that I have managed to pass on a little of that knowledge and inspiration. Thanks bro.

hi neon - they are looking great!- most garden plants tend to have similar deficiencies as the seasons start to change so you are right not to worry - do you know your water pH?

it may be good to remove some lower leaves/brances to create soem airflow underneath. this may help stop pests clambering up them too

nice one

Hey Verdant thanks for dropping by.

Yeah, it seems to be under control now.

I haven't watered them at all really. Just tea made with rain water that I collected once in a while, and lots of foliar feeding. They all get exactly the same treatment, so it's probably just the Task being fussy. They don't like the wet, so that might have something to do with it.

I was considering removing some of the lower leaves/branches, but I'm a bit hesitant after someone said it was a bad thing to trim in early flower in another thread. I'm not keen on trimming anything if I can avoid it at all anyway since that robs the plant of it's hard work, but I might have to I think.

TW1 in particular is just a thick "hedge" of leaves that are so dense, almost no light can get through to the base! I'm worried that will make it much more mold prone.

Appreciate the feedback man.

Some nice looking plants got to love that giant hps in the sky

Thanks kinger. Yup, nothing quite like it... at least not in this solar system :D

What's really amazing is that probably about 1/2 the time it's been clouded over, and yet they are still a good size. That is almost certainly partly down to them having more or less "open sky" above them, so even when it's cloudy, as long as it's not too thick, the clouds and sun together act like a giant bank of CFLs. Even cloudy weather is still useful to plants, although not quite as good as the great "bare-bulb" HPS in the sky!

I do wonder what they might have looked like grown in full sun, where the summers are all blue sky, with a bit more room to work with and no security concerns :D

Time for another update!

Time for another update!

This last week has been like a crazy roller coaster ride...

It started out really well, with some excellent sunshine, but by mid week things had gone down hill. When I went to the plot to check on the plants after I got up on Thursday, after a stormy night, I found the Blowfish almost on it's side. Luckily it was not completely uprooted, and all the others were unaffected. After securing her with string tied to other bushes, she does not seem to have suffered any ill effects as far as I can tell!

Shes the only one that wasn't at least partially staked. I think mounding may have saved her (she was the only one that was planted the right way up below soil level), but layering seems better for resisting high winds, due to the lower profile, and more rooting points. The winds were pretty strong that night, so they didn't fare too bad considering IMHO. The BF is the tallest plant. Just shy of 6 feet above ground level, or over, if you count the stem that is under the ground :D

Anyway, here are the pics from earlier on...

This girl is special I think... I'll try and get better shots soon, but if you look close in the shot above, I'm pretty sure her main stem has a thick carpet of trichs already :yoinks:

Looking fantastic, sorry to hear about the Blowfish, sounds like she'll be ok though.

I really am envious of the garden now bro, those are some serious bushes which are surely going to yield handsomely all being well. I look forward to the day I've got a good garden to grow a few well pampered outdoor girls in.

On overall look the enchanting Task is still my favourite, but you're right about that TW pheno, looking very promising for only a short way into proper flowering.

I can't wait for the buds to start putting on a bit of weight :woohoo:

Haha, yeah... she's frostier than allot of other outdoor plants I've seen. For some reason indoor grown can usually get much frostier than outdoor grown bud, in my experience anyway. The Blowfish should be just as frosty too if the last round is anything to go by :)

I had hoped to snap a few more pics again today, but didn't get a chance, and the lighting/conditions weren't so good for photography today anyway. I did manage to get some more stakes though, so I'll try and get some shots tomorrow while I sort out the support...
