No CMH yet. Been vegging under the HPS. Finally got temps below 86... had to relocate from the wall closet.

Wish I had a new digi cam already because they're lookin' great. Need to transplant the OG and Bubba any day now and then I think they're ready to flip 12/12.

I was impressed with how the OG picked up in the past few days, but no pics. Sorry.

if your useing 300watts of real power not energy equivalent power but real watts of cfls and your only pulling 2 ounces your doing something really wrong, check this thread out if you doubt me , its 60 grams from 72 watts of t-8 lights.

didn't maximize the space being covered by my 300 watts of CFL. I was encountering PM problems as full as my cab was. Anymore filled in the space I was working in and I would have been cultivating nothing but powder mildew.

with your room being so tall, id run that a vertical circualr stadium, id hang the light vertical, take of the reflector and put a fan at the bottom blowing the heat up and out through exhaust fans. and make some shelves and stadium stack your plants, id try to use as much of the light n space u have efficently and minimize waste.

I was thinking that about going vertical... only problem is the heat likes to stay trapped in that space... so I now have a new space. Wish I could update this thread with pics. The cell phone images are so crappy I'm just gonna wait til I get the digi

I threw the bagseed into the mix to see what happens under HID 12/12 from seed.

The White Widow has been trained out to be bushy.

The OG and Bubba had some light training, but not much.

They are about a foot tall now, 4 days of 12/12 so far. I'm hoping the CMH will reduce their desire to stretch... prolly screw back in the HPS after a few weeks with the full spectrum.

If you flipped to 12/12 at around a foot tall....you can figure around 2 feet tall when they finish. Depends on strains, and how vigorously they are growing when you flip. At least that is what I have noticed. I flip at about 14-16" in 2 gallon pots, and they usually finish between26"-33". You will get more stretch out of HID's then flouros. More out of HPS over MH also. Hope that helps some.

I'm trying to figure out how I would get the gram per watt ratio... or even half that... without doing a SCROG.

I guess I just have to familiarize myself with a strain and get to know what they like.

I doubt I'm gonna get anything near a half pound growing them so short

Once you find a strain that dose well in your set-up I think you could get about 10 ozs or so. I am able to pull a littl eover 3lbs off 2 1000 watters. Personally I like to run them at 10" and flower them. I can get more that way. But more time consuming in every aspect. I run Hps all the way. Hps gives you better weight over MH.

Also you really don't want them getting to big under a 400 unless you have some side lighting. It won't penetrate on a 36" bush so well. This is your first time with this setup so you will see how it works for you, and you can revise from there.

You let them veg to 10" and then flower them?

How many ladies you got under them 1000s?

Im guessing SCROG is the only way I can get close to pushing big yield because I'm trying to stay under 6 plants

Yeah from clones. In 1 gallon pots. This way I can pack 75 clones at about 10", and get a little over 1/2 oz per pot. I would rather run beds but it not feasible at the moment. Not to mention it's a pain to hand water 75 pots every other day.

To get 10oz I would need 20 pots... based off your set up.

I need to get more than 1oz per pot over here.

Well you can defiantly get more than 1/2 a z of on plant. thats just what the average I have been getting. All depends on the strain. Right now I have a Satori x C99, MTF, and NL#5 x SSH moms. The NL#5 x SSH dosent need any veg time really. If I let the clones get 10" they will turn out to be about 30", and get a solid oz. If I flower the MTF at 10" it will end up being 18", and only get 1/2 oz. The Satori x C99 if flowered at 10" will end up being about 2' tall and about 20 grams......so it really depends on what you are working with.
This next run I am going to try to run 60 of the same. Just need to make a bigger aero cloner.
Seems like a never ending battle to try to optimize the space you have.
