I lost some to wind as well. Not the amount you did... not even close. ANd it still sucks. I hope you don't lose anymore. As for solutions that don't stand out too much, I have none
Those are good ideas. I think it'll be alot of work to tie those girls up but at least I'll be able to (hopefully) prevent any more losses. I think I need to devise something and do it this weekend before bad weather comes along again. Thanks for the input
I used to grow outdoors, before the FLIR and the choppers, and what i did is start training with rebar spikes, and hemp twine. Here in Missouri we get the big thunderstorms too,and the closer to the ground they were, the less loss and problems I had.Less exposure to the wind, less snapping of the big branches. Not really hard either.Three foot, start bending and tying off.Keep bending the tops. All it does is double your harvest because you are exposing more to the light, and beefing up the plant.
I have followed your entire grow,I used to grow up around Borger, Amarillo,Stinette,Fritch, and Panhandle.Used to party with Dog the Bounty hunter.Yeah,I'm that old.My sister was a jailer in Stinette, and had 40 acres of bottom land just outside of Borger with a well.Kept myself busy for years...Nice Indian artifacts also,I am a metal detectorist,I like going out and finding history myself.Nice that I live in a town that is close to 150 years old.
$11 dollars an hour is why the wife bakes gourmet goods, and we sit back and grow...
Ok so I went out gardening today and took about 100 pics. I'm gonna give a detailed update with descriptions and pics on not just every strain but every plant in my garden. It's gonna take awhile to download all the pics so be patient. I may also have to do it in several parts but here's a lil something to wet your appetite...it's a BB bud shot...
Thanks Tex things are lookin good man cant wait to see the rest of the update & pics! I know u said they would be a staggered harvest before but when do u think the first ones are gona come down? The end of sept?
Ok just to make it clear you will her me refer to each plant by a number (1-32). Originally there were 32 in my garden but now I'm down to 18 or 19 after getting rid of hermies and stuff. Just for my own records all plants have retained their original numbers. I just wanted to make that clear.
Plant #1- BB
It looks a lil damaged because a large limb fell on it, but it should still be a nice producer.
Plant #2- BB
Not as big as #1
Alright that's my two BB's.........continued.......
Big T
Howzit brother..?? Man the gurls did take on the wind yea? Fockin wind sux more than anything.. But those gurls look resilient so im sure they will still produce for ya... There isnt any kinda netting ya can make that you stake to the ground to keep the plants all together some what similar to what the scroggers use.. and use green string or whatever it is they use so it blends with the plants as well as some stakes.. if ya have to.. Good Luck sendin ya good vibes brother.. peace.
It's a White Russian. It never got big because it started flowering in May and never stopped. I made alot of seeds off this one back in early summer.
Plant #11
White Rhyno. It was serverly damaged by wind. I blame myself for not taking necessary measures to prevent such a thing. Anyway it still might make close to a lb.
Hey cuz'n, man sorry to hear about the wind damage but I guess thats mother nature. Thats why gorilla grows are so challenging. Anyway you have such a great attitude and like Ran says you're gonna still have a butt load of bud! Peace to you bro.... D
