Anyone else watch this show?
I think it is one of the best things on TV ever, been watching for 2 years now.
You can find out more about it at aetv.com or
http://www.aetv.com/the_first_48/vi...c&utm_campaign=first%59&utm_term=the first 48

They send camera crews out with Homicide investigators in different cities and then follow the cases from the scene of the murder, to tips, to arrests, interviews with suspects.
Absolutely fascinating, also a great insight into how the police really work, and gather evidence, nothing like the fake ass CSI and other "police" dramas on TV.

Yea I love this show.. It's insane how many people admit to murder on there... Alot of times they have no evidence and just some hearsay... It's crazy people actually admit to a murder when it's gonna cost them no less then 25 years...

i watch it all the time it shows cops never know shit UNITL SOMEONE TALKS..... also shows 90% of the time they snitch on themselfs... or get snitch on by their best friends.... But most the time they just get themselfs in a huge whole.... Number one rule if you watched that show is the ones who say i have no idea i want my lawyer always have it easier in court... watch and learn... i watch these shows just to learn police tactics....

I love watching the first 48 and crime 360. It gives me a lot of insight as to how cops go about doing shit, how their minds work and how the law works.
Let's face it, it pays to know the way your enemy operates...

That one was great, Tony Armstrong was the interviewing detective.
Had the tape of the one kid who survived saying "Jr did it"
Armstrong kept asking him, "what do they call you" "what do they call you" Jr.

Ran out of bullets, and that's when he had to go with bats and kitchen knives.

I like the self defense ones.
You see the one where the guys getting his hair cut?
And the two guys with guns snatch him out of the barber chair and drag him out back where there is a third guy, also with a gun.
Dude had a gun in his waist band and got the drop on all 3 of them, killed one, shot the other, and the third got away, he only got charged with being a felon in possession of a hand gun, if he didn't have that gun on him he would have been dead, f'kin wild.

It's incredible how many people hang themselves when the cops have no evidence on them and they confess anyway, idiots, and then the rare few who lawyer up and walk free when you know they did it but the police don't have enough evidence to charge them without a confession.

Yup, then talking to his mom in the interrogation room she asks

"Why the kids Jr?"

"Because they saw it"

They are some fucked up crazy people out there.

I saw that one in the barber shop to. I'm glad that kid is getting out on self defense he did the right thing

I watch it at least 3-4 times a week or more. I've noticed that most of the people on there usually end up admitting to shit when the a lot of the time the cops don't have much on them. Those people that admit to everything are pretty stupid. I wouldn't say a word if it was me. Not that I'd ever do anything like that but if I did the last thing I'd be doing is admitting to it to the cops. They always cream themselves when someone admits to it. Have you noticed how pissed they get when people "lawyer up"? I think it's pretty funny because the cops absolutely hate that.

Yep, they tell them to "man up" "get this weight off your heart"
"Do the right thing and help yourself"
And then as soon as they confess, they leave the room and start laughing and high fiving each other.

My favorite detectives are Caroline Mason(she's slick, cracked a bunch of people)
And Tony Mullins is good too.

Most recent episode guy killed his wife, of three $%?#$ days, after he roughed her up when he got home and she was packing a suitcase to leave him. Her sister was at the house to give her a ride, killed her as well and her three kids execution style, bullet to the head.

His stepson ran out the house and escaped. He was being interviewed in the police cruiser afterwards just seemed calm about it, seeing his mother murdered in front of his eyes.

They cornered him in another house in the immediate area two days later and he shot himself in the head before they could take him into custody.

These crimes are never like on CSI or Law & Order it's always just unbelievably petty, impulsive crap. Robberies, drug deals gone bad, some insult or perceived insult, bad bam bam and there is a dead body on the sidewalk.

Vast, vast majority of cases young black males are both the perpetrators and victims although once in a while they'll shoot some innocent white folks.
