CNS17 New Coco Formula

i'm hand watering my coco. would you recommend feeding with every watering or feeding every other watering or what?
with ebb n flow your feeding with every watering. it seems like it would make sense to do that with hand watering too. what do you think? new to coco so looking for some advice.

As long as you have some runoff and your ec isn't too high you can feed with every watering.

also, i would like to see you try the ripe as you seem the most qualified to compare that to the CNS bloom and floranova since you've run them both and seem to be pretty in-tune with your grow. BTW nice show on your last grow. i'm jealous of you californians... i need to get over to the left-coast.
Thanks, but I won't be trying it any time soon.
I want some runs where I'm not experimenting for a change...
You have it so give it a whirl and post it up!

My folks been using something called CNS17 commercial bloom nutrients with real good results and no addatives. So is the coco blend not as good as the regular?

CNS17-SOIL formula

CNS17-SOIL formula

Just started to use this stuff outdoors.
This week-things are really starting to bloom-transition phase is over.

Pretty cheap for the 5 Gallon tub. Around $115 Special order.
Also using EJ Catalyst, Floralicious bloom, Grotek Carbo-Max, and Advanced nutrients Mother Earth Tea Bloom.

Also going to switch to the RIPE formula for the last 4 weeks of flowering. Lower Nitrogen values.

Trying to get a full range of Macro/Micro nutrients plus all the sugars and ORGANICS.

Outdoor plants, indoor nutrients=good look and taste.

While also staying on a budget. Mixing around 100 gallons of FEED a week, not including regular watering.

Any suggestions? Let me know
Any questions welcome.

One of the Botanicare reps was in town today and I grilled him about why the new label has different amounts on the front and back.
Just a screw up, so the bloom is actually is 2-2-3.
So the actual breakdown is:
n 152
p 66
k 189
mg 38
s 86
ca 152

So apparently just the potassium has been lowered vs the original formula.
Just an FYI...

Thats a lot of nitrogen for a flower formula and mg is way to low.

Canna's coco nutrient has even more nitrogen, and less magnesium.
I have found those amounts to be pretty sweet in my coco setup.
With an occasional pk boost it is wonderful.
I have been getting great results no matter what nutrients I use, so I'm trying not to over-analyze things.

that looks pretty close to res/head coir mix. I was told that "ppl in cali" go from grow straight to ripe, doubt how true that is...

Thanks dongle! keep keeping it real lady!

Great thread. Cns17 CoCo formula has been treating me very well so far. I use tap water starting 270ppm's, bring it up to 800 with Cns17 Coco Grow, and then add floralicious plus or preferrably a fresh brewed tea when its available. I'm running my operation for clones only currenly so I've been going through a gallon of this stuff every 2 weeks feeding my mothers. They are 100% healthy and showing no deficiencies at all.

I've been using it more solely for the price versus FN.

Heck yeah, you have been running CNS for a couple years from what I remember.
It would be nice if it was even more concentrated, but I can deal with it.
Too concentrated and you end up in a bottle shaking frenzy like with FloraNova.

Been running the CNS 17 Grow for coco and soil on my mothers for about a year now with no problems. I switch to the bloom formula a couple days before I take cuts and then get to butchering. Have a friend who has been using the bloom formula for a while now and he insist on adding cal mag at the recommended dosage for a couple weeks after transition.

Anyone sen the new Botanicare feed chart for this line? To me it reads like you should optionally use CNS Bloom for the transition period and then switch to the Ripe formula for the duration of the flowering cycle. Anyone have any input on this? Or even seen the chart I am referencing?

Here is the chart on the Ripe label:

I'm not sure if that is the chart you saw or not.
Their rep did tell me, like one Q said above, that some are skipping the bloom and going from grow to ripe.
I guess it depends on the strain if it can handle a quicker drop off of nitrogen, calcium, and magnesium.

Looks like I'll be shelling out some cash for the Ripe. I'm thinking I might go with a blend of 75% Ripe and 25% CNS17 Bloom to keep up the N/Ca/Mg to acceptable levels.

Right now I'm trying to finish off a bottle of Canna's PK13/14 first.

No Dongle that isn't the one I saw... which makes my question even more curious. I'll take a picture of it tomorrow so you can get an idea of how confusing this chart is when compared to your link. In the chart I am looking at there is an optional 2 week period after the flowering cycle begins for which the "Bloom" formula or the "Ripe" formula should be used, and then it recommends only Ripe for the rest of the flower cycle.

Cool.
The feeding chart in that catalog must be the one that Germanator is referring to.

I have been using the original cns 17 for over a year with great ressults. i just tried the new formula and found that you have to up your amounts compared to the old version. i found that i have a potassium def. i am going to use ripe this week and will see what happens. love all the info i think the new formula will be good with the ripe just at higher levels than the old.

13 ml each of new formula bloom and ripe give a "Lucas formula-like" profile:

n 113
p 110
k 213
mg 45
s 48
ca 128

I have not run it this way, but it is interesting to see...

Well i just used ripe for the first time and will see how i like it. I went with 18ml per gal of CNS RIPE with my usual 5ml per gal of liquid kool bloom. I am interested to see if they finish better than they have in the past.
