i think most shawg is just shawg processed more so then being really bad weed, mexican erb is fantastic, i think the reason why i wouldnt grow it is because i imagine its sativa influence has a really long flower time but its got the goods, nice grow.

awesome job id say man, especially for the setup you got lol. some tin foil, lights and love and you got yourself a nice woman. props from a fellow texan, all my seeds are from mexi shwag too haha! next semester i should be outta the house and on my own again, sucks moving BACK in with the rents lol.

nothing wrong with shwag. imho weed is weed. some is better than others, some is even worse. bt at the end of the day its still weed and when you smoke it you will get high.
that being said i prefer the mexican door to all the rest of the weed i get here. be it from canada, or wherever, or local midwest which is the normal. sometimes i get indoor. but none of it tops the mexican outdoor. oooh feel that? its almost fall. means harvest season is coming up. i need to get in touch with a man i know from texas. :)

nothing like blazing up a nice blunt full of sativa and watching the world fade away around the edges. feels like flying even though im standing still. no sire nothing beats anice strong sativa. and since its bricked up and people think its shitty i can get a lot for a little. sure i like an indica too, but i looooooove sativa.

with the cfls you might be cutting your top half early to let the buds down low mature for a week or two more with the lights close.

good growing. that's a nice plant. liking the ghetto setup, it's obviously not wrong because it's working.. not optimal but it works. sounds like you get some nice bagseed too.. man i'd be keeping clones :muahaha:

Anyone got any opinons on My main cola top?

It's growing weird to me. Is this normal?

It's just so thin, I was thinking that it will fill out but I'm just not sure anymore.

well i had a few days (2 or 3) with very minor light issues. But only a few days and it was very minor as stated. Not enough to casue serious growth i would think. LIght switched on an hour early for a fraction of a moment. I was working around the plugs in my home and fixed problems right away when i saw lights switched on.

Nitrogen levels too high? I'm using Miracle gro bloom formula, nothing else. 15-30-15
I would think thats a reasonable level of N from wheat I've read.

Well I don't know what to think, if it is vegging its only on the main cola, nowhere else, wich seems strange if it actualy is revegging, shouldn't it be regrowing from other points?

I guess things could be worse, its just buggin the shit outta me, cause it feels something isn't right about it.

Well the only reasonable thing i can do right now is tie the top down, wich I've done. An Improvised LST technique. I took some bread ties and simple string and loosely have the top down bent over at a 40* angle. I think its already reverted back to flowering if it did reveg. There are visible preflowers. I've noticed this subtle change for about a week now but I didn't think anything of it till about 3 days ago. It just grew tall, and thin way too fast.

I was already seriously considering a reveg at the end of this grow. So if that is what happend I know the girl is capable of the full reveg. Now I just need to learn how to clone without Hydroponics. Ill Make about half a dozen clones, flower 5 and turn one into a mother. I really think I have a highland oaxacan, after reading about mexican sativas.

I know what i smoked in schwag was special.

I don't think that happened.

After thinking about wht could have happened, a few days back i had switched the light cycle.

I did it intentionally. I wanted lights to come on a whole hour earlier than what i had before, still 12/12. I didn't think it would affect the grow.

I did do something unintentional though. when i set the timer to turn off i accidentaly had it set for 30 minutes later 12.5/11.5. I don't know exactly how long it was like this 5 maybe 6 days, no more.

I guess the plant knows such small stranges changes. Not dramatic in my opinon, but obviously the plant reacted. I honestly didn't think it could have harmed the plant.

Oh well its funny looking now but I'll keep growing it. Looks like I'll have 2 stages of harvesting, and a reveg period afterward. Its just an experiment, I already know I'm gonna get some decent buds, so I'm not gonna worry over it.

Except for the weird growth on the main cola top, every things running smooth.

I'll be harvesting in multiple stages, due to uneven growth. I've started the flushing period already 5 days in.

Majority will be harvested Middle September. I'll proably attempt a reveg, I may not I'll wait and see what happens with this top. I feel i have better seeds to plant, as this was just an experiment. But I wouldn't mind trying to clone, as I have never done it before. Wondering If i should just attempt to clone just to have the knowledge, and techinque down?

yeah thats pretty leafy i think you might wanna cut back on the nitrogen earlier in flower next time. start phasing it back during the first couple weeks after flowers show. still need nitrogen in flower, but not that much. just enough to keep the food cycle going. i use the lucas formula, and i cut the nitrogen down to 50% of what he suggests. and the flower nutes to 2/3.

Mel Thomas Suggests a ratio of 15-30-30 in flowering, I'm running15-30-15, but a very light dilution of nutes. Not sure exactly how much is a right dosage,rather than guess it I use the smallest recommend safe dosage, plus a tad extra for kick. 1/4 tsp mix per 32oz (1qt). Thats the dosage "Indoor Plants". All water is straight from water dispenser. The kind that UV treats the water and micro filter, and all that, just pure as pure can be. I also never Ph check, I don't even run a thermometer. Sorry if spelling and sentnces weird damn browser is messing with typing. I don't think over fert of any sort is to cause, its just a leafy bagseed. And the top cola is super thick, looking healthy. Probly another 18 days till I weigh my options, I'm guessing. Might take longer, but most buds should be ready for harvest by then. Growing is fun!
