What's new

The good people at Solo cup hook us up!!!!!!

Try walking around with a tray of 10 or more, top heavy round cups, then do it with square bottom cups. Also putting them on wire racks is easier.

square round whats it matter? its soil it will conform to the shape of the pot.
,,,i don't know why i even wasted my time responding but i figure if i let your post be the one people see this thread would be pointless,,,since your post was so pointless:wallbash:, but i will give you hte :1help:you need to understand and not to sound silly when you post,,,peace

did you read the whole thread?, probly not,,, i am sure you have read that squared containers are good for roots, if not now you have, and if u use the rounded cups then you know what they are like easily toppling over and all, theses square cups will be more stable,,,,
soil wll conform to whatever, its a good thing i was talkng about roots and stability, not how soil conforms to stuff, of course if you would have read the htread you would see this was already addressed,,,

so in closing the cups are good for roots and for stability,,,plus they are shorter and to me that gives the pot you transplnt into more room for the roots to grow,,,peace

thx guys but he didn't even read the thread i am sure or he would have seen all this talked about already somepeople just like to talk guys with nothing to say but negativity,,,he would see that threr are about 30 replies of good find and 3 of guys like him that never took the time to read what the point of the thread was,,thx for backing up the cups,,lol,,,peace

nice bash attempt.

the cup is still round it just has a squared bottom, whoopteefuckingdoo.

i read the thread, i grow in containers of all shapes and sizes. square pots fit better into boxes obviously. round wastes space, yeah. maybe you guys are commercial growers and im missing some big picture. if im transplanting to a square pot for the final phase then it doesnt really matter what the previous container was shaped like does it? it could be a fucking pyramid shape. its still going into soil in a square pot at the end of the day and last i checked soil conforms to the shape of whatever you put it in like water.

i had to go reread the thread cuz apparently i missed it the first time...and the second time too. why are square pots better for roots again?

I

idoreallytry

well obviously you didn't look close its rounded at top inch the reast is squared so if its whoopteefuckingdoo y waste time and post,,,and its not my job to point out other threads about roots liking square pots,,,
and what the fuck do you keep talking about soil conforming this isn't a soil conforming thread lol,,, its a thread about cups that soil or whatever medium goes into,,,
and in your expert oopinion is the roundcups very stable?,,,well in my experience they are not these are going to help out stability,,,
i am not trying to revolutionize the way you treat your seedlings bro iam saying if you like using square pots and like a beer cup that would be stable use these cups if not i don't give two shits your what you do,,,if using soil conforming containers is your way to go lol, then by all means go for it,,,just leave us square beer cuppers alone,,,peace

i was trying to give people a heads up thats it i thought they were a good find, and so have a few others,,,i am sorry you don't,,,

yeah i looked close enough these cups arent new to me, solo company is not too far from where i used to live, these have been around over a year now. its a round cup with hand grips in the side and a square-ish bottom. i didnt come here to beef with you i just posted because i didnt see what difference it made cept for a little extra stability. i dont have much issue with cups falling over like you guys i just make sure my cups are touching when i move them around on a tray or whatever. simple physics. also you're the one who made it a point to go off on a tangent about how awesome square pots are for roots, i just wanted some you know... proof of this other than your baseless ranting. and now you dont have the time to show me where you got to this conclusion. typical.

anyway enjoy your "new" square bottom cups. im out. peaces.

i go off on a tangent becuz what business did u even have posting if you weren't interested or u could have stated hey what do these aid with instead of,,,"square round whats it matter? its soil it will conform to the shape of the pot.",,,

well you should drive right down the road and tell the people at solo that you looked real close at a pic online and there cups are definately not squared like the packaging says,,,it should say looks square but isnt just has grips but is still rounded,,,lol

Good find Ido, I use masking tape on the side as a marker also. Been doing the round bottom, cup juggle, for some time.
Long live solo!

nice but do they come in any other colors than that flashy red one? If those were in your window or you are out in the bush with them, they stick out like sore thumbs! I hope they get a little more "stoner friendly" and create "camo cups"! :D

yea i have some that im using that i didnt even realize were square on the bottom for a while... i like em but to tell the truth not any different for me than the 50 cent cheap brands that are completely rounded

PS the thumb grips are cool though
