Idiot's Fly Pack Grow

Panicman! I just ran across your thread, and digested it start to now; everything looks like it's running smoothly, and as so it's really hard for me to pick out a favorite thus far - sort of like trying to pick out a favorite WSP song, eh?

I look forward to following along with your grow(s); mosca's products are intriguing - I don't think I've heard anything negative about any of his flies; they're all dope (yeah, I know - terrible pun, eh?). What about that sonic fly? Mysterious, at least until after next years cup?

Continued best of luck to you and yours, my friend!

Thanks for the kind words Jake. This is my first experience with Mosca's beans but so far, everything is going great. As far as the sonic fly, well your lookin at it. The problem is which ones are the sonic flys, I haven't a clue. Started with 5 sonic flys and 5 c99BX's, which was what I was after in the first place. I thought about having a contest to see who can guess which is which, maybe give away a pack of seeds or something to the winner. Looks like I'll be starting a second fly pack tomorrow so we will have a better chance of finding a keeper of both.

Oh, fav song....till the medicine takes:joint:

hey there wspman. well here's my stoned, less than 20/20 take. i group plants 1, 4,5,6 together in a narrower leaf group. then 2,3,7,8 in a wider more indica look. camera angle and distance could have some effect. anyhow good luck. i hope to grow some version of cindy early next year so i'll definately be stoppin by.

That's not a bad start Jammie. The problem as I see it, is if we have a sonic fly, (which is 50% cindy), pheno that leans towards the cindy side. That one might be difficult to pick. Anyway, thanks for taking a look at my grow:)

Time for round 2

Time for round 2

Ok folks, it's time for round 2. As of 3:30 EST. the second fly pack is started. Beans are scuffed and soaking now. As with the first fly pack there seems to be one seed in the bunch that doesn't look so good. I took a pic before I put them into soak but I can't post it till tomorrow. Kinda of a bummer starting with 9 beans everytime. Keep my fingers crossed everyone of them makes it.

Ok, here's the seed pic from the second fly pack. The seed to the far right is the one that didn't look good. It appears to have a very small hole in the seed hull.

Update fly pack #2

Update fly pack #2

Good Morning Folks

Good news this morning, we have tails! 7 out of 10 beans in the fly pack #2 have germed and are now resting in pro mix. Pretty sure 3 or the remaining 4 are going to pop. Great germ rates Mosca.

Panicman, I know Mosca has to be liking your thread, my friend! You're taking great care of his beans to babies to beauties. I'm looking forward to seeing more of those beauties! How long are you going to let them veg? I love the speed of indoor!

Keep on ramblin', my friend!

Update: 9:30 EST

Ok, it's been a very busy weekend, let's start with the fly pack #1.
Plants 4 through 8 have been moved to 12/12. I took one last pic in veggie stage which will be posted later today. Plants 1,2 and 3 are smaller and will veg couple more days. I was taught to prune the bottom two set of branches, light doesn't reach the bottom branches and this greatly increases air flow in the garden. It also makes hand watering much easier. I use this material for clones. We have 5 plants flowering X 4 clones each, so we have 20 clones started this weekend. I have an ez-clone machine so I usually get 90-95% success rate with clones depending on the strain. Some sh*t is just hard to clone so there are exceptions. Anyway, we can start the flowering clock on Sunday 8-23. My fingers are crossed, cindy buds in 52 days:)

fly pack 2

The 3 beans that didn't pop were taken out of the soak saturday, dried a little and put back in the matchbox with sandpaper. 30 seconds of scuffing and back in the soak. Sunday morning one of the three popped making a total of 8 out of ten. Still haven't given up on the last 2.

This morning, Monday, we have 6 sprouts from the 8 beans in the dirt. :woohoo:

Hey everyone, I am behind on the updates, sorry bout that. Harvest time, gotta make room for the Flies to flower. I'm old and slow and just can't hold out to work for long periods of time. Anyway....

Fly Pack One- Of the 8 plants in fly pack one, 7 are flowering. Plant number 2 was slower and needed to veg longer. #2 is different from all the others, doesn't look like there is any cindy in it. Very Indy! Big clue here as to the secret strain used in sonic fly. Promise, pics are coming. I have a back log of about 50 to post. It's a lot of work. We have good news, # 6 & 8 are confirmed female and # 5 is male. Sould be smokin' cindy buds by Halloween:)

Fly Pack Two- The 7 beans that popped are ready for transplant today. They are doing very well. Just about to give up on the remaining 3, they are in pro mix and I'm still keeping them moist so they could still sprout.

Update: 12:30 am EST.

Fly pack #1

Time for just a quick update, things are going great with the #1's. Final count on sexing, 3 boys and 5 girls! :woohoo:
Hit the jackpot with so many girls.

Fly Pack #2

The seven beans that popped are doing fine, just about ready to transplant out of the beer cups into one gallon polly bags. The 3 beans that didn't pop are still being kept moist but no action there.

Update 8:40 am EST

Bad news, found some mites! Caught it early so I should be able to keep them from doing too much damage. I got online and ordered 1500 ladybugs which should do the job. Don't want to use any chemicals since we are flowering now. Seems like no matter how careful I am keeping sh*t clean, use a lot of bleach, even chance shoes before entering the grow room, I still will get mites from time to time. They suck!
The key is catching the little bastards early, only had borgs on one plant, not one of the flyies, but it doesn't take long to go from one plant to the whole garden but don't worry, I'm on it.

Yeah, good thing you caught them early! I would hit them with neem oil a 2 or 3 times before flowering; just to make sure you got rid of the borg! Shouldn't be too difficult.

Mr. Mosca, I don't think you are reading my post. I can't use the neem oil because we have been flowering couple weeks. Nice little buds. That's why I ordered the ladybugs.

Update:

Ladybugs arrived today. 1500 was the smallest amount I could buy. Really cool, it says to keep them in the frig and put out a few everycouple of days. First batch wiil go out tonight right before the light goes out. And them Borgs can Kiss their A** goodbye and they want hurt my delicate little buds.

Hey Frank, thanks for the kind words buddy.
