Looks like sunburn/overheating for sure. I actually lost a decent sized chemD to it a few weeks ago when it was 106 here. And I watered it eariler that day. My thinking was I watered everywhere BUT the main rootball under the stalk (I have a habit of soaking the areas away from the stalk in hopes that it will make roots spread out). Will also be interested in what others have to say.

Hoping this heat fades quick...

Damn... that sucks. The small dots of rust color on the clones seems different than the burn on the bigger plants. Just for good measure I would hit them with a foliar application of Subculture B (2ml/gal pH6.8 before adding the Subculture B) in case its a fungus.

yah its totally different from what i now assume is light burn..........just when i thought ive seen it all.....i guess thats what happens when i change climates so drastically....bound to happen.

Weed Santa has one spot where the well water is so full of iron there is this weird oily residue floating at the top. He does not seem bothered by it.

Problem as I see it with city water is that it is chlorinated. I read somewhere that while straight chlorine can be removed by just sitting your water in the sun for a day (bubbling it at the same time can't be a bad thing either) most municipalities are no longer using chlorine but rather chloromines (i could be wrong about the exact terms and I don't have time to do any homework on it right now) which are much more difficult to break down.

I personally wouldn't feed city water to my kids (if they are going to chemically enslave us, this will be the method of delivery ;) ) nor to my plants. Before I would use city water for my plants, I'd put it through an activated carbon filter for chlorine and then RO for everything else.

Nice shade cloth :) Should keep the youngins from frying...

Your afgooeys look a lot like my cut of goo, always lean a little and branch out on their own. Love the plant.

I've heard about possible high levels of iron and magneese in wells around here, so was a little worried after it was drilled that I'd have to end up treating it. If there's too much of something in there, nothing seems to mind. Was thinking about getting a test done by the county...

Good lookin pup ya got back there :)

Looking great Try Comb! Is there any way you can test the PPM or TDS of your well water? I find my well to be way high tds and quite alkaline. I really want to get it drilled deeper to maybe find some nicer water. Quite an expense though.

If there's a cheap way to test then it might be worth it, but I'd probably just wait and see if it is a problem....
