Just use aquashield instead of the zone it works fine with the hygrozyme and there isnt any foam from it.

I think you guys are right.

The Zone will just keep things sterile..killing all beneficials and stopping bacterial colonization. Zymes would be OK.

My bad for the mis info..

Next grow I'm going to have to try zymes w/ zone. Should make for a super clean reservoir.

Awesome...I heard it would neutralize the hygrozyme but guess not...Any 1 use hygrozyme with only hydroton as medium? Does it need medium or just stays in the nute solution?

Excellent, excellent thread. I'm going to use DM Gold next. Just finished a AN SensiAB, BudCandy, BigBud grow. Nice results, but I'm looking for a simpler solution as I don't want to use 12 different bottles. If I expand an AN regime, that's where it goes. So it was a choice between DM and FF for the next one and after reading this thead DM Gold is the winner.

I use a DWC/Aero recirculating system (my own hybrid) and I plan on going DM Gold, Zone, Silica, LL and penetrator (still, that's 6 bottles).

Is Fulvic helpful in DWC/Aero systems? and, has anyone done a side by side with and without a bloom booster? If so, why is Pure Flower the booster of choice over other brands?

Can't wait to get this one going.

And with a single keystroke YGB brings this thread to a crashing halt. Imagine if I posted to all the threads here, all conversations would stop. Wow, the power I wield.

YGB: Frightening isn't it?

DM Max is a fulvic product, see post #46

I have seen dramatic improvements with bloom boosters. I use Pure Flowers exclusively. It's very concentrated, i.e., clean. It seems expensive until you realize the recomended dosage is 1ml. to the gallon. They use a phosphite technology. I'm not really hip to all the differences from phosphate, but it works like a charm! You might want to contact thecarguy for more info, he seems to really know his chemistry

Thanks Fred. So you use Pure Flowers instead of DM Max Flower? I'm not sure if they are the same type of product however.

In post #46 he recommends using a fulvic and silica. Are you using any and are the DM?

Pure flowers week5-7 dm max week1-6 silica week 1-5 zone 1-flush gold @ 8ml per gallon

Thanks Trend. Nice buds, bud.

Let me see if I have this straight. Your week 1 starts at day one of 12/12 right?

Pure flowers week 5-7 (only for 2 weeks?)
dm max week 1-6 (that would be Max Flower not Max FX right?)
silica week 1-5
zone 1-flush
gold @ 8ml per gallon

What is your reservoir PPM?

I'm probably going to add a bit of Cal-Mag (using RO water) and Hygrozyme too.

Thanks again, YGB

dm max is great stuff ,,,

i saw in another thread zone and penetrator as a spray or dip for powdery mildew ,
couldn't they just add it to the nutrients instead ?

Pure Flowers is the booster and DM Max adds the fulvic content as well as a minor bloom boost. I use them both for the entire cycle. I'm probably wasting some of it, but I don't have the time or patience to do the mad scientist thing and figure out when to start or stop each individual nute. I wish I did, though.
Since I started using Liquid Light I have seen about 10-12% improvement in yield, highly recomended.
As for the DM Max FX foliar feed, I've never used it so I can't comment there.
When I first started using DM Gold, I used Cal-Mag. Mainly out of habit. When it ran out, I never bought any more. The girls didn't seem to miss it.

Those are just rough estimates. I used cal mag occassionally at around 1-2ml per. I started gold @5ml and ppm were from 400-700 but was some shitty meter different then my norm so who really knows. Yea max flower, never heard of max fx. I'll try loadin the pure plowers sooner next batch see how it goes.

Great info everyone. Picking up the DM regime today for a DWC hydro. (6 or 7 bottles of nutes, yikes). I'm also going to experiment with soil/organics to see how taste and yield compare. A little off thread but will be using Fox Farms soil with Pure Blend. This will be less expensive and less maintenance then DM and hydro. I may supplement with foliar of LL (I know not organic) to help with yield however.

Thanks again.

Trend: I think the Max FX was thier foliar feed before they came up with Liquid Light. They still sell it at the local hydro store, although they recomend it with the cheaper nutes

I just got back from my local hydro store and they told me Pure Flower is no longer being made. Then he said that the guys that make it are reformulating after the original chemist that made Pure Flower was sent to the pokey.

I don't know.

No more Pure Flowers???

Does anyone know of a SF bay area source for Pure Flowers, with inventory? I would be willing to drive to get some while I can...

Any recommendations for a bloom booster if Pure Flowers is not available? I'm looking for something that will not effect the stability of my reservoir. I like the stable ph with the DM gold line, and want a booster that will not require massive amounts of ph adjustments between reservoir change-outs.
