Wat up Icmag?? Today is day 2 flowering for 10 clones i've had vegging for a good 2-3 weeks. I havn't been documenting my grow because i've been working and trying really hard to focus to grow good dope. I have a good strain now, so now its up to me. For a veg chamber i'm just using a 4ft floro tubes in a cabinet.
Im using a soiless mix of 50/50 of peatmoss and perlite. For nutrients i feed them the lucas formula every other watering. I'll check temps tonight and see if i can add another 400 watt hps to the flowering room. If i make a duct muffler and carbon filter i can run my 440 cfm 6" inline fan and aircool my 600w and probably add more wattage. The temps are good for now though with just the one 600w in there. Ill post pictures in a lil bit when the light comes on.

Flowering Day 8 - They ladies are stretching and i did a little trim job on the lower branches last night. I fed them the Lucas formula last watering, so they will get some r/o once they dry out. I'm really excited to learn this strain and get it dialed in. My goal is to try for .5 grams per watt. That's about 10.5 ounces. The temp in the room is staying at about 75 degrees F with the light on. Anyways i haven't gotten pictures yet because I'm very lazy and it seems like no ones really interested. I'll post pictures upon request. I am also looking for a new way to hang my 6" inline fan, carbon scrubber, and duct muffler to make the least amount of noise possible while still air cooling my lights.

Flowering Day 10 - Okay ill tell everyone a little bit more about my setup in detail. For my Light i have a digital 600 watt ballast and a 6" air cooled hood with glass covering. The plants are all female clones from a strain i got from a friend up north. My flowering room is 8'x8'x8'. I have a oscillating fan blowing over the tops of the plants.The room was framed with 2x4s and panda plastic stapled up as walls. I built a platform for the plants to sit on because the floor was concrete and would suck the heat from the soil. I used a 16' 2x8 and a sheet of plywood to make a platform. I have a 400 watt hps i want to add to the flowering room but don't want to risk burning any plants. I have a 6" inline fan but i can't use it unless i find a way to make it not sound like a jet engine. I also have a 2'x4' cabinet that i'm using as a veg chamber. The 4' floro tubes fit in there perfectly. I would like to use a 400 watt hps to veg eventually. I will post pictures tonight since no one has requested any, i think the plants are doing well. tell me what you think

day 12 flowering, i have three plants flowering in small pots, i ran out of the 3 gal pots so i might have to put them in 5 gal buckets. Heres a pic of what the plants in smaller containers look like as of this morning.

Should i go buy some more 3 gallon pots like the rest? I have a few 5 gallon buckets kicking around somewhere. This strain doesn't have a name but its pretty branchy. I have a picture of a nuglet of some of the bud that the guy i got the cut from grew from the same strain i have now.

I don't really know much about the strain, and it doesn't have a name but i know it gets me really high. Alright ill give another update in a couple days, cya.

Today is day 15 flowering and the ladies are loving life. They are finally drying out from the nutrient watering, so i'll be giving them some r/o H20 tonight. I plan on giving them another haircut and pruning basically 6 inches up from the bottom. Ill post some pictures during the haircut tonight. I'm thinking of ordering some seeds just for a little project. I'm looking for a connoisseur strain, nothing commercial. Something with a unique high, good for pain relief, the plant doesn't even have to yield that well. I would love to get something with purple hues as well. I liked how sensi star looks but i've read that its more commerical. If someone could point me in the direction of the strain i'm looking for that would be cool. I'm also looking into a portable a/c , how do these even work? Does it cool the air without having to pump it out of the room? Does anyone know how many BTU's i would need for a 8x8x8 room with 2,600 watts? I'm limited in my plant numbers to 15 and i want to more efficiently produce medicine while staying within the law. I'll be growing one mother plant, and trying to turn this into a perpetual grow by adding 2-3 plants every 2-3 weeks, so i can eventually harvest 2-3 plants every 2-3 weeks.

Hey Hovz.
I'd pot those ones in the small pots up if I were you. Maybe by now they're too far along to get a lot of new roots though, so maybe not.
Hmmm, seeds huh? It's been a while so the smae seeds aren't around, but maybe check out annaC at seedbay. They should have good stuff at a good price. I had some really good stuff from annaC, like some nycd f2s and Columbian Biko.
Those portable ACs use a big tube/hose that goes to a window to exhaust the hot air.

I might have encountered a little issue, i had to shut the power off because we were rewiring the house, but it was during the day and the light comes on at night so i thought it was fine. I turned the power on and left it for a few days, but now i checked it and the timer is 3-4 hours off from before and i just left it because i don't want to fuck it up worse. I know this will probably stress the plants, will they still bud? Should i switch it back to like before even though its already been a couple days? My timer is a surge protector with a built-in timer on it. Any suggestions?

Hazy - hey man thanks for stopping by, i think i might just keep them in small pots for this grow, ill be adding more in 2 weeks anyways. I would love some NYCD, but i need something thats not gonna stank up the whole neighborhood. Maybe one day i will be able to try it. I'm thinking for dropping 300-500 on a good portable a/c. Any suggestions on how many BTU'S i would need for 64 sq feet of growing area.

-Day 23 flowering
Temp:70 Degrees

A couple of the lower fan leaves turned yellow and are dieing, I think it might be a ph problem and maybe the nitrogen got locked out. Next watering ill flush them with some r/o water, i got lazy and used tap water last time. I think the temps are okay enough for me to add my other 400 watt hps, i'm gonna atleast test it in there and see what the temps get like. I ordered a fan speed controller for $23.95, so hopefully i can make a DIY carbon filter and start aircooling my 600 watt reflector. I'll post more pictures of the yellowing fan leaves later, i still have to upload them.

Heres what i've been smoking this week

Things are starting to get smelly, i need to get off my lazy bum and do something about odor control. I'll take some more pics when the lights on and maybe some pics of my veg cabinet.

Hey everybody, just a little update. Okay today is day 26 flowering for my 10 ladies. This grow is going much better than last grow, simply because the plants are actually flowering. I'm hoping that i can turn this into a 2,000-3,000 watt perpetual grow. Available for lights i have the 600 i use now, a 400 watt econo-wing reflector, magnetic ballast hps system, and i have 2 x 1,000 watt econowing reflector, magnetic ballast MH systems.
I am really thinking about getting a a/c, in the a/c thread i think i read that i need to purchase a window a/c and make a box for it and that i need approx 5,000 btu's per thousand watt. I would really like to add some lights and start seeing results, but i want to do it properly and make sure its a good environment.

Okay so i checked my ph of the tap water and it was 6.8 which i believe is too high. I also checked the ph of the R/O water from the machine and it was 7.8 so now i know i need to adjust the ph of my water. Isn't a ph of 5.8 more ideal? im just starting to catch on to this medium and nute combo, but i am looking for a different medium, like maybe coco. Does anyone have any medium and nute mixes that work really well??

hey hovz -

right now the mix i am using:

1 bag ffof organic soil
1 bag fflw
1/2 bag canna coco
3 gallons of perlite

im using the 3 fox farms liquids - following the feeding schedule from the website. i alternate between feeding and watering every 3 days or actually whenever they need it. also the suggested ph for the ff products is between 6.3 and 6.8.
