All hand built/rebuilt, over time... Would love a forum specific to the concerns of the vert grow... find it to have quite unique considerations vs standard flat grow. Also, grows like ours are getting shunned elsewhere even though they still depend on us! Kinda pisses me off. This would be a kick ass home! BTW, lol, thank you for the compliment... considering the source! lol. Do you have any issues with air circulation and/or potential mold? With the exception of training and/or supporting the plants, this is the biggest obstacle i had to overcome... the rh. I've worked through this, but the larger nugged varieties are still a concern as only half faces the light + others blocked by lower colas coming up. Lots of tricks, just curious to get some of yours. Once this puppy gets up & running, would love to get into it! Best brah & thank you for introducing this!!! ;-)

Good news! Although I'm not a vertical grower (yet atleast...) I'm a big fan of the method and it has definitely been proved how effective it is.
The timing is right, as the 2 forums that were leading the way in vertical growing are now defunct.

Wow alpha man that is a great micro vert grow you got there, whats your results like in that? Looks killer and very stelthy

I WISH I could take credit for those pics: those are shots from the Czechs that inspired my interest in this style a few years back, Prenda & G_Man on Grower.cz - and between 'em they ran hydro & soil versions, although most always HPS. Those are the pics I show people when they don't get it or have a hard time visualizing why it's better: those are the "Ahhh. Oh!" pics.

But as you can see also from the Youtube video posted, from the Barrel of Green guy (if any of you remember him), and from trial & error - I've come to the conclusion that if done right, this is the perfect, most optimized modular micro farming setup anyone could do. You could run multiple small 'pods' with different strains, flower 'em at different times, etc. And it's designed to take maximum advantage of one of the most basic, precious resources in this pastime - LIGHT.

Why would someone be against a vertical growing section?
I know, WTF? :fsu:

But...

:nanana:

I vote yes too.....this important area of growing must have slipped my mind these past years...

*expect to see a Verticle Growers Forum within the next 24 on ICM....

Big, large props to all who voted yes, to those who visited this thread with an open mind, and last but not least Gypsy! :woohoo:

Now I'm gonna go smokurbate to Sleepy's sleazy bud smut. Mmmm, yeah...

TNX A LOT!

there might not be so many vertical growers in here yet but with this new section
hopefully those who have already done it can post more pix and experience and many others can be inspired to start a V grow

hundredgramoz:

i was thinking do do parts of my future indoor grow something like this just with soil in the beginning and 2 or 3 x 400 watt

Hundredgramoz thanks bro, its only a 400 with some cfls. This set up i was able to fit over sixty plants compared to 25 using a reflector.

Johnyhash that's exactly why I love vertical, it give you so much more than horizontal. Great looking setup man, check out the vertical section, I started a new thread about the benefits of vertical and I put up a pic that shows you exactly how much room you gain by going vertical.

Than you all, the new Vertical Growers Forum is located inside the hydro section of this site :jump::jump:

This forum is a long time coming. It makes so much sense. The largest yields seem to be vertical whether from trees with the largest yield per plant or sog with the largest yield per watt. I've even seen blurbs on cnn where the sides of tall buildings are being used for their vertical space for vegetables. It will be more and more common. Might as well have a dedicated forum.

GN........THX! It is nice to see somebody so in tune with his MEMBERS.

That is why this is HANDS DOWN the be CANNABIS site on the web... I was a VIEWER of OG and I have seen your site basically take it to that level and rising over the past years! THANKS

I'm happy to see this forum here, but I am very confused why it's in the hydro section. Many of us vert growers are using soil. In fact, I think I've seen more done with soil than not. Not a big deal, just a strange thing IMO.

Great idea Hundred Gram Oz. I've never tried it but I'll definitely be doing some reading in there and see if I can adapt it to my room for a try.
