Everything's looking really good Bro. I like the cropping on the Bubba. I didn't see that earlier. When you're pearlite starts to turn green like that (2nd & 3rd pix), add some peroxide to the mix when you water. I believe the correct mix is 1 tbs/gallon. The green color wont go away, but you'll kill off the mold. Peroxide also helps oxygenate the roots.
Stay safe & :smoweed:

:yeahthats + what SubNoise said-- Looks like you're doing damn good with the space you got!

Small question:
I thought the green stuff on the perlite was algae?

Not sure I can be of much help Bro. I always root my cuttings right in soil. I've felt that frustration before though. I know lots of guys round here use cloners. You shouldn't have a hard time finding help. How are they dieing? From the top? Root rot? What are you feeding/watering them with? Soil mix? Temps? Humidity?
Good luck! Keep your chin up. Stay safe & :smoweed:
It helps to keep in mind what my first pot growing guru always told me, "It's a weed yo. Don't mind fuck it!" LOL :rasta:

P

Peat

I root in peat pellets these days.
But, I had a diy bubbler in the past.

Dunno what the problem is, but I'll take a jab.

Firstly,
If yer getting roots, you've got cloning
So take a bunch of credit for that! :bis:

Sounds like you've got problems with your transition
from rooted clone,
to vegging plant.

IME, the transition from water to soil on the fresh new roots can be "stressful".
Careful not to overfeed. & keep the lighting low.
When new growth gets vigorous, then ease her into full veg...

Or, am I off in left field...at night...in the rain...by myself...

Peat & Vitner- I have has successful transplants but not very many....all I use is water that sat out for 24 hours and a little peroxide....they are being transplanted into an equal mix of perlite, vermiculite and peat moss. I don't use any nutrient until they are firmly rooted... When they die they start to shrivel brown and continue to shrivel even when dead leaf is trimmed. Maybe i will start using a humiity dome and pellets again...any suggestions there....I still dont want to lose all my cuts though...thanks fellas

P

Peat

No worries.
We'll figger it out! :joint:

How much root mass are you getting before you xplant?

When you first xplant them into soil, how long before they need water again?

:chin: Do ya know the ph of your water?
What about your drainage?

Do you add dolomite lime to your mix?

What is the peroxide for?

:chin:Does the dying start at the bottom fans & work its way up the plant?

FWIW, some folks say if ya trim off the offended parts, ya make the problem move up the plant faster...

Those look really good Bro! :rasta: pH of your water is very important. Especially if you're on municipal water. I mostly use rain water, and I test the pH of that too, but if I'm forced to use municipal water, I let it sit in 3/4 full open milk jugs for a few days, cap it and give it a good shake a couple times a day to blow off all the chlorine. If you don't have a way to test the pH of your water, find one. Anything is better than nothing. In a pinch, I've used the test trips for my pool.
I think a small measure of peroxide to every other watering (or so) is a good idea myself. It helps oxygenate the new young roots.
Depending on how big you "root mass" is before you transplant to soil, you could try peat pucks...but
Just my 2 cents... The thing that stands out to me is your soil mix. You don't need both pearlite and vermiculite, they both serve the same purpose, but W.E. Peat moss does not provide much in the way of immediate nutrition for your plants. Especially if you don't give it much time or the means to continue breaking down. I'd also mix in 1 part cheep, generic potting soil, and a scoop of dirt from your outdoor flower bed. How big a "scoop" depends on how much soil you're mixing up. You run the risk of picking up a few pests, but in my experience, no more risk than if you'd use an expensive store bought "organic" soil mix.
I think MJcuresall clones the same way as you. Maybe he'll chime in w/an opinion as well LOL
Good luck, keep us posted & :smoweed:

Peat

I dunno???
Those look pretty good to me.

Cheapo pH tests for your water are plenty accurate for soil grows!
I use litmus paper...

:listen2: And, FWIW, I use LC Soil Mix #2 (w/ Pro Mix) from the organics for beginners thread. It's pretty much a soilless mix. Except for the little bit of mushroom compost.
But that aint shit!
Or, do I mean guano. LOL

(I use PBP & LK for my ferts.)

Hey pthway- sorry to read about your cloning trouble man... On the flip side, your plants look great... healthy, shiny leaves... green veins.. great job!

I recently lost a transplant I had rooted in a cup of water. It died shortly after it was put in soil. What I think happened was I let the cut form too much root mass before transplanting and the roots suffocated in the soil, which I think was too wet. Worse still, the soil was the last in the bin and prolly coulda used some more perlite.

To solve the hit-and-miss problems, I'd suggest rooting in vermiculite in the ice tube cloner. You've seen that thread so you know what I'm talking about. I've never lost a transplant after using that method.

First...looking good.
Second, switch it up and try the rezdog cloning method...dip in gel/powder for 2min and then stick straight into a cup of soil , water in lightly and mist once.

RezDog thread is sweet...mission accomplished..

So things here kinda switched around a little due to another child needing space....so as soon as I get pics tomorow or tonite I will get them up.....
