:canabis: Looking great guys. Better watch out, looks like those babies are gonna spank your butt! :spank:

Just keep it down to earth, treat 'em as plants but give 'em TLC. :2cents:

Having you post in our thread is an honor mashup your tent is an inspiration.

We have decided after a long lunch to keep the 5, we have centered the "little" girl directly under the light and have the other 4 surrounding it. Everything looks amazingly healthy. Finally some sun outside so i need to do some work but will be back with some pics later.

1 CH9 Mendo is showing hairs today we noticed after 5 days of 12/12

Ive got sam cooke playing in the room 24/7 by the way :) For you kids look him up!

Rated 142 CFM for the 4" Can-Fan
Rated 178 CFM for the 4" Can-Fan HO

like we have said earlier though we are allready sucking in the tent sides from neg preasure with a normal 4" Can-Fan exhausting through a can-9000 filter and out the top. It is more powerfull then we ever imagined. We do have a short run from the filter to the fan to the exhaust port though. We would like to see how it can move air through a couple feet of ducting.

I do see now how we are wasting lumens by having a a/c reflector not a/c it (the 6" flanges are open exposing light to the sides)
any ideas on this?

You can get 6 inch end caps on homedepot, lowes... clamp those on with 6 inch hose clamps and your laughing. But you really should be running the air through the hood, if you did that you probably wouldnt need a a/c... the temps inside my tent are like 1-2 degrees higher then the temp in the room.

Make sure you don' get the hard flexible aluminum ducting... loud as HELL, I made that mistake, has since been switched out for vinyl ducting, and im using the softer aluminum flex stuff inside the tent.. it no longer sounds like a jet engine is going in the room :joint:

Thanks for the reply Cyber9! Your grow is looking great!

Our a/c (air conditioning) for intake is our central air conditioning system of the house that will always be on.

As for Air cooling the hood we toatlly agree but space is a concern(will get to that) and using the Can-Fan 4" to exhaust through the scrubber and a/c the hood raises the concern of lowering the negative preasure in the room to much?

As for 6" to 4" Flanges or whatever u call them we picked up 2 but the diameter is exactly the same and they are about 5" long so with ducting added to that im pushing to much on the sides of the tent. I need to make a custom and very short 6" to 4" duct reducer but still worried about loosing the negative preasure then.

i ran into the same problem when i first set up my cool tube, from having the 6 to 4 reducers on each side. i now use the 6" ducting connected to the cool tube, its ducted out of the tent, then the reducer, then the fan pulls the air down the hall and out of the room

another idea would be to hang you light like so that the ends are pointing towards the corners, if that is unclear i can draw a pic in paint. i tried this in mine and it fit better, but your dimensions may be different.

dangit! I had the same problem with my 6>4 reducers. I jammed um in and taped um up - I had my reflector at an angle so the venting would fit - the setup was too sloppy for me

I then switched to a sun system reflector with 4" adapters, built in socket/plug and got it for 120 shipped
my 6" cool tube will sit for future sittin in a box

Thanks for your response, you saying move the light 45 degrees left or right to allow more space on the ducts.?

Simple things escape some people minds, thanks bud. So the current thoughts between us for upgrades for next flower are getting a Can-fan 4" HO(to replace current exhaust can-fan)

Use the old 4" can fan with a speed control at 50% or so to replace 6" inline fan and run a 4" duct to the Hood. I am going to build a "shorter" custom 6" to 4" reducer for the intake to the Hood. We are thinking of also switching to a 600w HPS bulb then aswell..? ideas?

Thank god your not the only one running into problems, i have a digital timer that has a mind of its own( GrowLabs timer )

luckly set the ol internal clock and avoided any mishaps. GL with your speed control.

Just some food for thought as we prepare pictures for post, the "Good 4" are looking amazing, the 1 mendo which was showed in the pics as "sick" was placed in center. It still has stunted growth and drooping leaves. Strange thing is all these plants were given same growing mediums, same transplant technique, and same seeds and put into the same flowering tent. Is this just a weak pheno of CH9 mendo? Youl see what i speak of when i post. But the 4 make a perfect canopy and the 5th "sick mendo" is doing its own little thing hovering a few inches lower.

Again aside from the sicky the girls are in love with sam cooke and growing :)

Updated Pics

Updated Pics

Greetings everyone thankyou for your input and advice. Here are some updated pics, we really need to spend some time with our camera to learn how to take closer pictures, and we are getting a bipod aswell.

We will update this post later when we have time with info on new soil mix and neuts we are getting for the next cycle.

From what you can't see is every girl has gorgeous 3mm hairs and seem very healthy aside from the yellowing on 1 or 2 of the bottom leaves(not on all plants). The pics were taken at a strange angle and we don't think the justify the actual beauty of them. We figure the slight drooping is because we just watered :)

The Following are three random shots and a off top angle pic of each plant

Shot of Canopy 1 Notice the small mendo still in there in the center.
canopy3.jpg

Shot of Canopy 2 Same thing with the small mendo..did we damage it on transplant it they have been identical and all same variables except for that. Thinking mabye we damaged the roots and caused the stunt? or is it just the plants genetics?

Designated each plant a #, all have been in the chamber and set to 12/12 for 11 days today.

Female CH9 Mendocino Plant #1 (the short girl)

Female CH9 Double X Plant #2

Female CH9 Mendocino Plant #5 (dubbed Chuck Norris cause it is so kickass)

Random picture of top of tent for a question asked.

Again have some info to add but don't have time right now will update further.

Plant #1 seems very healthy just stunted...we are still toying with taking it out.

I vote leave it in, Everything is looking really good man, have you flipped to flower yet? You should probably do that soon if you dont wanna run out of room in there, I'm flipping mine tonight.

I just looked that pic with the light in it... ur not air cooling at all?? why not? You should have it going so air get sucked into your filter, passes over and cools your light and then out the top to where ever your venting... Like you can do it the way you have it, I did last grow cause i didnt have a air cooled hood or a cooltube, but my plants suffered.. once those stretch out your going to have a hard time keeping that light far enough away... I know i totaly did, I was tying plants down every day it sucked... some got some major heat stress on the tops and instread of a big cola i got this :

THis is like right before harvest... so yah heat is a bad thing
