yeah for sure the really thin and short ones that arent competiting for sunlight with the top growth are just going to take away from the bigger buds in the long run. im not saying trim it up to a lolipop type single cola. it's more a judgement call here. i'd say if its no longer getting light and looks thinned on one side or deformed removed it. also yellowed leaves/burnt down to nothing leaves can be removed. its just going to give you larger and fuller top buds as well as faster and healthier growth. the more branches there are the more auxin the plant has to divide up among branches. you end up with alot of uncessary popcorn down below when there are just way too many bud spots. even in my ID grow if you look at my bushes.. the trimming looks very minimal.. thats because it is. i mean if it looks healthy and green all over why fuck with it? i do constantly monitor for unhealthy/older leaves that have reached the end and remove them.. i also removed very thin branching that just isnt competing for the light correctly at all. however, i still have extremely bushy plants with a lot of branching for their size. the problem with the really dense bushy plants is there are always stragglers below the top growth that just arent getting sun. theres no point in having them there imo.. give more energy to the big thick growth right? i would still ask around though.. i know i never take just one persons word for it. anyone else with more outdoor experience than i care to elaborate? or set us straight?

Thanks for taking the time to explain. I agree with you. I normally do that type of trimming just before they start to bud. That way when all that auxin is more concentrated it's put to bud growth and not just vegging more.

I'm blaming my early flowering on having a lil over a month of crapy weather and rain everyday. I know the days are getting longer too but they snapped out of it soon as that sun started staying out.

This White Russian is the only one that hasn't really snapped out of it yet. I'll soon have alot of BB X White Russian beans from it though. I think the mom & pop will make some killer early offspring. Here it is....

I have two Blueberry females one smaller one & this one....
I planted the BB beans 12 weeks ago today.

I'm thinking about pinching tose tops one more time to make it bushier. What do yall think??? It is getting taller but doesn't seem to be getting as wide as it should IMO.

Forgot my camera on my last trip...oh well. Anyway bean harvesting is underway. I don't know how many seeds I made but it's in the thousands:D I've been busy bagging & tagging them all.....and smoking some seedy buds too.

Anyway this is gonna work out great because my plants have all veged back so this fall it'll all be sinsemilla. This patch should produce about 20 lbs. and who wants that much seedy weed? Not me! Sinsemilla baby!!! I just mark and save my seeds and this fall after much sampling I'll know potency and maturity date and stuff.

No more males or hermis in my patch now either. I have saved BB and White Russian pollen for future use also.

Some of my plants are already getting 7' tall and bushy. If all goes well I'll have a nice harvest. Even if it doesn't at least I already made and saved newer and hopefully better genetic material for next year. That is somewhat of a success in itself.

Hot and dry here with no rain in sight. Temp hit 100 outside today for the first time this year here. I love it though because over the next 30 days my plants well grow alot with the help of my WX-10.

Hope everyones OD grows are doing well:D Happy gardening my friends:D

Considering almost all are just now coming out of trying to flower early they've grown pretty well IMO. They are gonna grow much more than that over the next 30 days!!! If you don't believe me just hide & watch.

The plot is looking real nice Tex. Almost unbelievable for an ID grower like me. I am starting to develop a master plan for a garden with a few stealthily placed ones.

My computer has been jacked up for the last couple weeks. I'll get a update and some fresh pics up soon as I can. My girls are growing pretty well.

Come on man! Yea I'm a pretty heavy smoker but I might need some help on this one. My ole lady doesn't smoke and I pretty much smoke alone just to avoid any heat. Maybe you could come for a visit around harvest time? PM me i you wanna discuss it.

Hey weedster thanks for the compliments. Maybe by Sunday I'll throw up new pics of my 20 ladies just so you can check em each out. I'm doin my best to make them big trees for ya.....I mean for me. LOL

Oh boy, i'm just in time.
They're already monsters. And it's so ... natural ... with all the vegetation and no doubt lots of little forest critters and such. I'd love to sit out there, burn one and just sit there and look around and think.
