Making an ass out of yourself...

I consistently make an ass out of myself, it's really part of who I am.

When with the wrong company I can be embarrassing, but that's how I have fun and I'm cool with that.

I am really not sure about this. (Maybe I will try it)

But really, I make an ass out of myself a lot, speaking without thinking or just doing something crazy.

The thing is I kick myself a lot for it. I have a hard time accepting mistakes.

Sometimes you will say something to someone, and he just doesn't get it, or it just doesn't sound right lol

You can laugh and go on or sit there an over-analyze I've had my share of that in my life and just not giving a fuck helps also which is my attitude towards a lot of things. Life is too damn short for analyzing every piece of it its like getting rejected the best advice my mother ever gave me when growing up is a woman can only say No and how much does that really hurt. Your response could always be this but I have no respect for those types:

depends on what you'd consider to be making an ass out of ones self.. I've gone up to ppl in the mall with chocolate in my teeth(purposely) and ask what time it was with a big ol smile.
yea I can see why you say its liberating, I dont do nearly any crazy shit like I used to

slang for "backside," first attested 1860 in nautical slang, in popular use from 1930; from Amer.Eng. pronunciation of arse (q.v.). The loss of -r- before -s- attested in several other words (e.g. burst/bust, curse/cuss, horse/hoss, barse/bass). Indirect evidence of the change from arse to ass can be traced to 1785 (in euphemistic avoidance of ass "donkey" by polite speakers) and perhaps to Shakespeare, if Nick Bottom transformed into a donkey in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (1594) is the word-play some think it is. Meaning "woman regarded as a sexual object" is from 1942. Asshole first attested 1935.

.....so the first Asshole was discovered around 1935.......lol

I love this kind of info. That's a big ol' knowledge bomb right there.

I make an ass of myself quite often, according to my wife. And I like using the word ass. Great thread.

Oh, and I love that big butt avatar. I see that thing all over IC and always stop and stare in wonder. Nice cheeks.

just remember that sometimes it is not that you make an ass of yourself, but more that you are an ass already, so you cannot make what you already are, you dig? :smoke:

talking to racist christians about the lack of god. I AM an ass lol.

The only reason I do this is because everyone I meet who believes in God thinks I am evil or just don't have moral values because I don't believe/can't define God.

You just have to breathe and let it go...
I think many feel the same way.

You are right that is how you do it. Thanks

Yeah, I over-analyze allllllllll the time...

It poisons my life.

it's in my nature, but I blame going to fast

taking the car, to go everywhere, too fast, gotta do this gotta do that
in the end, i am not in the moment anymore, can't stop the mind,
going to fast

I figure with time, I will adapt myself to life, maybe ?

Here's a good one. I was at one of my sons football games a couple years ago. During this time we had met a couple and we were discussing the game.

The offensive right guard got hurt and they had to bring in a sub, who was quite small. For some reason the coach called two straight running plats off the right side. Both times the new kid broke down and there were big losses. I of coarse have to comment as to why the coach wouldn't run to the left seeings the kid was so small and was getting run over. Their reply was, "that's our son"......

I hate it when that shit happens, the other week i was trying to explain to my son that the kid that was bugging him was being a bad boy etc etc etc , then I look over and the kids mom is right there beside me LOL

I believe the American term "Ass" as in to be an ass comes from the word asinine.
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/asinine

\ˈa-sə-ˌnīn\
Function:
adjective
Etymology:
Latin asininus, from asinus ass
Date:
15th century

1 : extremely or utterly foolish <an asinine excuse>
2 : of, relating to, or resembling an ass

Not that I wish to be an ass about all the posts in this thread but.....

LOL
