It takes over your life huh imagine growing on a big scale , the headaches would be crippling. I read all your thread mate and you should be proud of what you have achieved so far. I only joined here but Ive been gardening for years , and I only started using computers a few months back aswell(NOT INTO TECHNOLOGY).But anyhow , Veg is were most of the basic training is done but wen you switch to flowering your gonna have that initial stretch so more training is important but only for the stretch period..then growth will slow in the plant bout 2 , 3 weeks after 12/12 was induced leaving only minor asjustments please god says you , thats when your plant will focus on Bud formation. When the first white hairs show this is when you should make a clear path for them to reach light , trim and snip dead or half dead leaves from under your screen but dont go mad or overstress your plants , a lil bit here 1 day and a lil bit there the next..... but you shouldnt trim to much 2 weeks after 12/12 begins as a rule of thumb. The plant depending on strain doesnt take or adjust well to this in flowering. It can get all fucked up like me rite now smoking a fat one..I swear it took me half a hour to type this oh man computers..Ill will be watching good luck my friend stay safe and stay stoned..Peace

i wish i had a green light, at night i miss my babies! looking good dude. i love long vegged plants in scrog they work bangers. as far as 18/6 vs 24/0 i had good results with a week of 24 when my light timer broke and i had to get a new one.

I use green suran wrap layerd over my mag light really cheap and easy.

Keep on training & trimming until theres no more stretch at all. I clean up under the screen about 1/2 way through the stretch then you can see whats gonna make it and whats gonna be bull shit popcorn. You dont wanna be trimming popcorn you want big colas right. Maybe them rust spots were do to low ppms and maybe a little lock out. Keep your ph around 5.8 to 6.2 and you already bumped up the nutes. Check em in a few days to make sure your not getting burned and if not its smooth sailing. The f ed up thing is most problems I ever had are in bloom I can veg em in piss water and they just go mental but once bloom hits everything has to be pretty dialed in so keep that ph in check and just keep checking for burn. Oh ya a tiny bit of burn in later bloom is ok then you know your maxing em out just a little burn like a 1/8 inch on the tip. Hope this helps

Things are going as well as I could hope for the strech is wild and a pain to keep under the screen I find myself just pushing down masses of leafs and stems at a time instead of one at a time, the Chem D is way too big which is kinda cool in a way. Today I set up a 25 pint Dehumidifier I found on ebay for 50 bucks brand new!!!! I spentsabout 1.5 hours today sitting a green room during the off hours trying to get the temp and RH correct, controlling a enviroment isnt the easiest thing to do. There are pistils growing out of the tips and things seem like they are happening the way they should. I noticed I had a bit of wind burn from the way I had the carbon scrubber exhausting so I moved it and bought 2 small clip fans that run 24/7. Tomorrow I'll post pics the room has changed a bit and is getting more dialed in everyday. Thanks everyone for stopping by and for all the advice.

Well I love what is going on I have a less than 10 degree spead in temps between lights on and lights off. Buds are starting to get fat and im hoping they start packing on some weight but only time will tell even though im not to concerned with gpw I still want to feel the satisfaction of growing fat nugs!!! I have my ppm at about 1150 and ph at 6.1.

Damn, those girls are streeeeetchy! Just remember that even when the plants are stretching, the goal is to keep all of the colas at the same height. (make sure any stem/branch sticking out more than an inch gets put in there place).

Hell yeah brother, that's the spirit. Nothing is quite like taking that first hit of scissor hash during the harvest.

I have my ppm at about 1150 and ph at 6.1.

Sounds about perfect, maybe a little on the rich side....but if they like it, they like it. I'm running a little weaker right now with a fresh tub of nutes swapped today (mid 800s, 6.2). They don't seem to want anymore than that yet. The NorthernLights I ran in the same setup, maxed out at about 900ppm and ran most of the flowering at about 750. Got something like 12oz off a single plant under a 400w, so I don't think they were hurting for nutes on that run, but I've been living in really dry climates too where I personally think they need a little weaker mix since they transpire more water.

It only gets better after the first run (unless you try to complicate or change too many things at once...let it evolve, I say). We should both be puffin on some nicely cured, stanky danky Chemie by August.

I hope you get plenty to enjoy and share off this one to last until your next harvest (there will always be a next harvest!).

You could always just plumb the drain straight back to your reservoir, it's pure water....unless you're in a really humid area with a big dehuey (might send too much back and overload the tub), but that's easily solved too for a few dollars with a float valve on the tub end of the drain line that would cut off the flow if the level got too high in the tub.

Lookin good in there. On your bud shot I see a couple of hairs are already withering turning orange/brown, mine are still all white.

How do you like that 1000w?

Ummm I guess I like the 1000w I really dont know the difference from any other light, but I havent really come up with any issues from it so yeah I like it. And are the hairs turning all ready gonna be a problem, almost all the hairs are white just a few spots have a couple with color like the one in the pic.

you be scroggin now! Looking really good I must say. If you're thinking about the extractor, go for it! Costs less than $10 and it's a lot of fun (especially loading up a hash oil joint for when you have to trim the beasts your growin )

Nah, it won't be any problems. Before people learned to look at the color of the trichs with a loupe or magnifying glass, alot were using the state of the withering of the hairs to decide when to chop, most using a "half of them withered" yardstick. Seeing if the trichs are clear, cloudy, or amber is a much better way to tell though.

Just out of curiosity, hows the temps in your rez?

My rez temp are always between 67 and 69 the chiller I have keeps it at a 2 degree spread. My buddy makes some pretty good BHO so maybe ill have him come over when I try doing it.
